It wasn't a pretty easy call at all. It was marginally outside the penalty area and it was impossible for the assistant to be in line with the edge of the area unless he has Usain Bolt's speed. You've contradicted yourself as well. The assistant referee has to look at several things at once: the ball, the last defender and then he's got to sprint down the line. And it happened in a flash. You've got to be 100% sure to give that and no one could be 100% sure live that it was a handball.

What a terrible game of football. We didn't look like we'd score if we were still playing now, and you guys didn't look like you fancied combined out of your half all game! Drab affair for everyone! Not seen much of you guys in last month or so but thought with you being safe and nothing else to play for might be a bit more adventurous and try take the game to Liverpool a bit more. Definitely seemed like your game plan was sit back defend 11 behind the ball and keep a clean sheet which was fair enough. Just showed no real atttacking intent (although same could be said for us despite all the possession!). Now please go do the same against Arsenal mid week and take points off then and don't roll over for them in same way Palace did for City after beating us
Every team will do it. I can understand his frustration because it's happened to us. Inter Milan were the worst. At the same time it's funny seeing Liverpool so wound up.
Its more frustration at ourselves than wound up at how you guys played I think. Frustration that it's been same all season and we're so reliant on one player, Mane! With him for all season we'd prob be close to Spurs, without him we'd prob be fighting you guys for mid table! Some serious business needs to be done in summer to sort out our failing front line. We basically won that for Leicester....let them get points off us and then we beat a lot of top sides. Think we should have shared the trophy.
I was going to say the same about team that stays up and us letting them take points off is.... but then realised that's everyone in bottom half so bend no real advantage to anyone in particular
You were playing some great football at the start of the season. I'd say Henderson has been just as much a miss as Mane. We have tried similar defense tactics against the other top six sides and they've all managed to break us down. Liverpool play too much in front, with Coutinho always dropping deep and looking for that worldy finish from the edge of the box. The worrying thing from a pool perspective is that match played out exactly the same way as the semi final. It looks like after four months Klopp has not found a solution to teams who defend deep and he is hiding behind lame excuses
Zero width too, and no idea why Klopp took so long to make changes. Basically he was everything the moaners have levelled at Puel this season, but it's Klopp, and he's a "big personality" so, y'know, that's what counts.
