Funny from Gary Neville, take Mkhitaryan off to give him a rest ahead of Thursday! He's had a ****ing rest during this game.
Because I've been thinking it for weeks. You do not give up on fourth when the incentive is to knock Liverpool out of that position.
Maybe but harsh to have a go at him today when we've just been parking the bus all game. Not much opportunity for an attacking player like Mkhitariyan to do much. Might aswell just field 6 actual defenders, rather than using wingers to make a back 6 if that is the way we are going to play.
I'm not just having a go at him today, I only mentioned it because of what Neville said to be honest. I've said for weeks he's been doing **** all.
You are joking? Other than one youngster I don't think that's a bad side. Certainly not a second team as such. Glad you're getting the excuses in early though.
Still playing with 6 at the back and were 2-0 down It seems Mourinho has settled for a 2-0 loss, rather than take any risks and risk getting thrashed.
Odd to think his was the first name on the team-sheet at the beginning of the season. Astute management by JM to bump him on to the bench without so much as a murmur of discontent. Makes you wonder how popular Rooney is with his team-mates ............................toast now though
The guys been holding the team back for the entire post SAF era IMO. Fergie knew when he was retiring that Rooneys best years where behind him and had already started phasing him out of the side, and would have sold him had he stayed any longer.
If you complain enough about the number of games (not sure what he was expecting) fans will start to think a team full of internationals is akin to a reserve team.
Well Jose i hope you're right about all this. You'll look an arse if we lose to Ajax now (or, god forbid, Celta Vigo) It's a shame Rooney timed his second transfer request right right at the changeover to Moyes. That was the perfect time to sell him, but no way anyone would have made as bold a call as that on day 1.
