Do you? " it's going to be very interesting to see the. Membership sales for next season. " What. Should it matter. They can come today but not next season cos were in the championship? **** em then.
Do you think everybody's got lots of cash lying around to just spend on football. It was a cheaper game today than some others. For some it's a choice of picking certain things at certain times.
As others have already pointed out, that Trading Standards response was bullshit. It's absolutely for them to look into the missold memberships with non existent extra benefits. They've done it before.
Thousands of long standing fans have walked away as a consequence of the actions of the owners. Despite the poor attendances this season, the real damage done has been masked by promotion to the Premier League and cheap adult passes. There'll be no such masking next season.
Yesterday wasn't a big attendance, bigger then some but nowhere near full given the importance of the match. We are talking about an extra two thousand over Watford. Sunderland brought more then Watford so not many extra City fans in the grand scheme of things.
Rubbish. I don't care what th figures say. There were no spare seats round me and there is usually for most games. All of north that's usually empty was filled in and they weren't sunland fans.
N3 was a bit fuller than usual, but not much more. I still had plenty of space. There were gaps in N4, I'd say more than usual. I thought the attendance figure overstated the number in the KC when it flashed on the board. I agree the people stood near me weren't Sunderland fans. Sunderland more or less filled their allocation unlike Watford which bumped up the attendance.
It's my fault the attendance was up a bit I brought my son in law, but he's a Leicester fan so doesn't count (he was more vocal in supporting us than lots of City fans in the ground were though) There was more people there than at recent games, but that's hardly surprising Those who either refused to join the scheme because they didn't agree with the lack of concessions or those priced out due to the lack of concessions or personal circumstances are in two camps. One group won't step back in until things change (Sir Ben for example) and the other group will pick and choose a number of games and go to them. This game was always going to be one that lots of the second group would choose. (theoretically winnable, not glamorous so you know you won't be stood alongside fans of a top 6 team in the home end and towards the end of the season so probably important) So a bigger than usual (in recent times) crowd happened, and isn't surprising. However the fact that we're even debating the crowd is a testimony to the rotten atmosphere in the club. If we had owners who introduced concessions, didn't try and remove the club's name from history, treated fans as if they were relevant etc etc then the ground would have been full anyway
Which bit: That there were empty seats near and in front of me? That there were gaps in N4? Or that Sunderland didn't sell more of their allocation than Watford?
WTF does all of this crowd ****e matter when you get beat 0-2 at home to the bottom, already relegated club. I'm a FC supporter today ...
True, but in reality there were very few empty seats in the away end. There were no more than 1,000 more home fans, than there was against Watford.
If we go down it will be embarrassing next year. We will look like a small club and we will struggle to half fill the place. Staying up is massive. I think it will be oblivion if we go down.
Should we go down, there's only one thing that will see the crowds come back. Sadly, I don't see the Allams selling.
