Was thinking same. He's worked hard though, as have the whole team. Interesting when he came over to the right, you could hear Claude coaching him along on French quite a lot.

 

TBH....I'd settle for another half like that and a point.

 

Please can Gabbi get one more chance before the end of the season. The last one he got, he scored, about eight games ago.

 

Good half for us, yes. Entertaining, no.

When he comes on as sub I feel he gets a bit lost, but he has been a little wasp today from the start. Incidentally, I thought the ref was right to say the incident with Clyne was a bit of 50/50, even if it did enrage the LFC fans.

 

We've created chances in the 4-2-31 formation, in this 4-3-3 formation not so much now.

 

I can't work out if we're putting in a very well organised, disciplined shift, or if they're just a bit crap without Mane.

I think we would struggle more if they put might high balls into our box. we've been struggling with them recently. playing narrow and on the ground plays to our strengths in defence.

 

Funnily enough, this isn't the kind of football I find dull. I love a good defensive organisashhhion.

I'd like to see Nathan on actually - their CB get isolated with Clyne and Milner going forward, and we have no genuine pace right now to exploit that. Obviously Shane would change that too, but I want to keep Gabbi on, just for the slight hope he might get a pass in the channels. Just once. Please.

 

You can see why it's difficult for refs at places like this, they have to justify ever decision.
