We're permanently 2 months ahead of ourselves on this board. Let's focus on the last two games and the here and now. If we go down, that's the time to talk about the next steps.

Good to plan ahead. With hindsight, something our board should perhaps consider doing!

Well you'd hope so, but for us fans it's about today and next week. Who will or won't be in the squad or managing it next season is a topic for the summer.

In the very fickle world of football, should we get relegated might that tarnish Marco's reputation ever so slightly and he might not get the glut of anticipated offers? Perhaps owners / chairmen might not want to hire a just relegated coach.

Just a thought, just a thought...

We were a write off when he arrived and we're still not relegated with only two games to go, he's already proven his ability in the Premier League, relegation won't damage him at all.

I can't see past McLaren, the Allams seem to know him & he comes to watch us a lot.
It's going to be a HUGE rebuilding job if, as looks likely, we do go down.
I don't really fancy SM to do the necessary job. You never know though.

Yeah we know that, but most owners know eff all about football and just look at headline figures.

Fair point...Most owners know Jack ****, but tend to know someone who does...Like the geezer who recommended Silva to Rehab..

Everyone assumed Rafa would quit when Newcastle went down, wonder if MS might see us as unfinished business and stay on?

He doesn't make a habit of sticking around at clubs.

Not the best example, 100% he would've left if he'd got another offer. He touted himself all around Europe but nothing was forthcoming so he stuck around by default.

Of course the same could happen with Marco, but his stock is higher and he'd be a lot cheaper.

About as much chance of that as of us now staying up.
    We are not a Newcastle.

Expect nothing else from fans who have no idea of the game.
Fella sat next to me yesterday (not seen him for a few months) though NDiaye and Niasse were the same player.

It wasn't a good performance but Pickford made crucial saves at critical times.

We do lack quality in certain areas but the blame for that doesn't belong to the current manager.

It seems most fans within a week have gone from 'in Marco we Trust' to '**** off Silva'.

I suppose that's 'normal' in football.

If there is Anychance of marco sticking around he'd want assurances of funds, I don't think the Allams would give him them assurances.......in fact that could apply in either league
