No, I didn't overlook Yugoslavia. A conflict that was eventually brought to a conclusion by the tardy but welcome intervention of UK and US forces. Well known warmongers Blair and Clinton played a big part in preventing a three way Serb, Croat and Bosnian conflict from burning out of control.

Part of the reason, actually, why Tony Blair's government supported the expansion of EU membership to Eastern Europe - bring everyone under the European banner and prevent historic fault lines from re-igniting into conflict. You know, like the fault lines in Ireland, Gibraltar etc, which are getting renewed attention since Brexit placed small local self interest before the collective interests of the continent.
