Is it really that amazing? Haven't they been hugely funded Man City style? Was it an amazing story when Chelsea or City won their first PL title?
Relatively then yes, I believe they've had stupid amounts invested for a club of their size. Am I wrong then?
Oh jeez man. I like the fact they've gone from non-league and had a few promotions in a few years. I like it. I agreed with Qwerty that I'd like them to go up. That's it. Not my club. Not a big deal. Is that ok? I'll be leaving this one here.
I mean it's obviously not on the scale when you're talking finances, but I was under the impression that they have bought their way through the leagues by spending huge amounts for the level at the time. Another example, was it a 'great story' or brilliant achievement when we got promoted from league 1? Or was it expected because we had the biggest budget in the division?
Eh? of course it's okay It's nice they've had a few promotions in a few years yes, but I'm just saying I don't consider it a 'great story' as such as they've bought their way through it. So not really a fairytale as such.
No worries Glad you clarified though, as wasn't sure Just not sure if many are aware of how big they've spent, which means it's not such a big achievement as it looks on paper
All results went their way and they easily won their own game. Made 17 points up in Doncaster I think
CHAMPIOOOOOOOOOOOOONS!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Insane we overtook a team that beat us twice this season.
Feel sorry for Hartlepool in a way but they stopped Doncaster from pipping Skate! Well done to Pompey but they have major issues to attend to financially, I can't believe some of their fans are opposed to the Disney man takeover.
A good day in South Wales with Newport staying in the football league. Amazing considering they were 11 points adrift of safety in March.
http://www.skysports.com/football/n...ecstasy-and-agony-as-hartlepool-are-relegated I know Jeff Stelling is a Hartlepool fan, but strange ot see the pundits so subdued at Newport winning. I don't mind JS celebrating the Hartlepool goal but not impressed at the rest of their reactions to Newport's last minute winner, that should have been described and reported with the appropriate levels of excitement that the moment deserved.
Strange how the L1 play-offs have started, but L2 only just finished their season ... aren't they usually on the same schedule?
I would really like to extend the hand of friendship to our pompey neighbours. Congratulations and for all your celebrations today you are only 57 league positions below us. Who the fnck is still laughing now.
