So basically Liverpool fans think their players are better yet we outperform them. In that case your manager must be ****, oh no you all think he's a god.

I'll take today case in point then...

For the vast majority of the game you were drawing with West Brom, a bottom table side. For the vast majority of the game you were pretty crap, yet towards the end when West Brom were getting tired, you took advantage and scored - sealing the win.

It's a common theme with you, you might be outclassed for much of the match but you quite skillfully claim the winner towards the end. It's a brilliant tactic and has done well for you over the years but does leave the impression that your team just isn't very good, whilst this isn't always true your standout performers back up my claim.

    Your best players:
    Vidic,
    Ferdinand,
    Valencia,
    Nani,
    Hernandez,
    Rooney,
    Berbatov.

Vidic and Ferdinand are defenders, best players because they keep the opponents at bay for most the match. Their main objective is just to hold the opponent off and try and spark a counter attack.

Nani and Valencia are wingers, where the counter-attack play speeds up down the wings where there are least of the opponents. This allows you to swing a ball into the box for the attackers or pull in and pass the ball across the box.

Rooney, Hernandez and Berbatov are all strikers, whilst none of them are particularly quick all of them are lethal finishers and if given the ball on the counter attack will put it in the back of the net.

Your whole team is geared towards the counter attack, and when you're put under pressure for vast periods of the game it gives the illusion that your players aren't very good.

Did you actually watch the game today?

We controlled most of the match and were the better side but poor finishing let us down and we let West Brom back in it through a goalkeeping error.

I see rival fans comparing their teams to ours and making out that their players are better yet they can't explain why we outperform them and everyone else in the country.

I seem to remember you only outperformed us once last season and that was with Hodgson in charge. Yet you are adamant all your players are better than ours.

No, I didn't watch the game actually but I could almost imagine the way things were going listening to the radio. I have, however, watched previous games with you against the so called "lower teams" and my post still applies.

We finish above you and progress further than you in every competition, that suggests that we are better than you.

Anyone can beat anyone else on a given day but it's how you perform throughout a season that determines how good you are.

Outperform suggests you are actually facing us every week.

We outperform you over the course of a season by finishing above you and progressing further in other competitions.

No, beating another team does not mean you outperform them. Arsenal outperform most teams, yet haven't won a trophy in 6 years.

So we don't out perform you other the course of a season even though we finish above you and progress further in all other competitions.......

    That doesn't make sense.

Arsenal don't out peform the likes of Man Utd or Chelsea if they finish below them.

You using the word "outperform" doesn't make sense.

Yes it does. I'm talking about over the course of a season, not in the head to heads.

Outperforming in a game of football is different to outperforming against a team you only face twice a season.

You consistently finish above us, yes. You are consistently better than us, yes. You do not outperform us though.

    Outperform =/= Better

As I said before, Arsenal constantly outperform most teams yet have failed to win anything for 6 seasons.

What a load of rubbish the mancs are spouting tonight. As far as Liverpool are concerend, the equad that we are able to chose from this season is very different from that available to us last season. Therefore there is no correlation that can be made regarding out-performance.

If we are honest today, United looked a lot like Arsenal at the end of last season. Lots of passing posession but very little actual threat in front of goal. Let's be honest the shot that won the game would have gone for a throw-in if it hadn't been defelected by a defender! However, KPR does have some justification for his claim regarding United's midfield on todays performance. WBA played long balls to 2 front runners and then flooded through United's midfield to win the 2nd balls. If they had any truly creative midfielders United would have been in a lot of trouble. With both Ferdinand and Vidic now being injured it's going to be a very testing time for a young pairing when they are going to get little to no cover in front of them.

I know, take that tit berbinnadez, he said they outperformed WBA but were let down by poor finishing and a goal keeping error. Surely, how strikers and goalkeeper do their job is part of a team performance.

I'll agree with Kelly, only becase Rafael is extremely injury prone.
    Vidic obviously
Rio - Carragher is tricky, Rio and Vidic are the best CB Partnership, but at this moment in time I'd say Carragher is better Individually.
I'd still pick Evra, he has been one of the best if not THE best LB in the epl for the last few years, last year being an exception.
I'd pick Nani on the right, an inform Nani is the best player in the league IMO.
Wouldn't pick any of our CM to make that team, possibly Park on the bench.
I'd pick Young over Downing every day of the week. Except Mondays. **** Mondays.
Then I'd have Rooney and Saurez up top.

    So essentially it would be
    Reina
    Kelly Rio Vidic Evra
    Nani LP1 LP2 Young
    Rooney Suarez

Not sure who your 2 first choice CM's are.

Wouldn't pick Nani because he's cheating, diving, crying SOB and I would rather have anyone no matter who it was.In fact I think Valencia is a better team player and a great crosser.other than that i would agree with the selection but it would be a tough choice at LB because Enrigue is as good as Evra.

Fergie is looking to transform this team while still hanging on to the Premiership.

There is a lot of quality but also lots of questions about the likes of Cleverly, Welbeck and maybe even De Gea. Utd are the ones to beat but the opportunity to beat them is there while they are in this transitional stage.
