palace know they have enough. they sort of need a win but seriously does anyone really think swansea can get 7 out of 9? ame as burnely they never turned up v utd knowing that was a little too hard so why bother

I'm not an optimist as such. I'm as critical as anyone after a bad performance - I just don't see the point of fearing the worst and being miserable before the event. There's plenty of time afterwards for that.

If palace played this badly and lazily against us i'm certain we would have beaten them. Now they're screwing up the goal difference battle as well

 

They've lost 4 games all season, the likelihood of them losing 4 on the spin is beyond fanciful.

Think everyone saying Spurs bottled it are doing West Ham a big disservice.

They set up to negate Spurs and then out battled them. after they scored they looked far more likely to go 2-0 up than spurs to eqalise.

As for spurs imploding and Pool gettig 2nd. That's a pipe dream, about as realistic as Wenger's BS about finishing in the top3.

If West ham turn up like that for us, we will struggle, and as for Spurs, they are unbeaten at home all season in their last ever season at the old WHL. If that can't motivate em for the last 2 home games then f**k em. I reckon Hull will be tougher than Utd if they can still stay up on the final day.

 

Citeh going goal crazy ain't good for the GD which may come into play at the end of the season

 

We haven't won by more than a goal since the arsenal game either

 

If both teams win all their remaining games, city will be favourites on GD by dint of having the extra game (at home to WBA) to improve their GD.

The saving grace for Pool will be Boro at home in the last game. That could be bloodbath.

Having said that, I'm not convinced either team will win all their remaining games.

 

Am I the only one not bothered about City? I know if we finish 3rd we go straight into the group stage and avoid an awkward CL playoff tie but I'd just like us to fend Arsenal & Man Utd off at this point and get into the top 4.

 

Let's be honest, they're only doing what we should have done to them. We made them look much better than they actually are.
