Warren Mitchell's real life persona was different from Alf Garnett, being Jewish, Labour-voting and a staunch supporter of Tottenham Hotspur!

Was saying this to another person earlier today. You have obviously working class people voting for Conservatives who will happily roll back hard won workers and human rights, won mostly by EU membership, I might add. A reduction in education spending, NHS, the lot. All so that they can get used to paying a few pence less tax, and plenty of them aren't paying income tax anyway, because they earn so little. This mentality is taking us back decades before I was born. Next, people will be doffing their hats and pulling their fetlocks to anyone in authority. The vast majority of the public will undoubtedly get politically what they deserve, sod all. Whilst the top 5-10% will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Yes, that was slightly odd. I expected an invite to the sofa too, but none came. The particular episode I thought was back to old form. Very entertaining.

Bit bored of TV at the moment, need a good series to catch up on/watch. Did Breaking Bad in about 5 weeks (all seasons), though my record was The Walking Dead last year - all 6 (then) seasons in just over 3 weeks. After that I was so immersed in it, that I used to keep a look out when taking the dogs out for 'walkers' :) I'm considering (I've not seen any episodes):

    Prison Break
    Better Call Saul
    24
    House of Cards
    Line of Duty
    Between
    Continium

    Any thoughts or ideas?

We do that every day with the dogs - about 3 miles a day. Normally just around our area, but at least twice a week we take a nice drive and a walk :)

Think I must be the only person never to have watched a single episode of breaking bad or game of thrones.

Me as well....though that is hardly a surprise. Used to like programmes like this....watched a couple of series of Lost and Prison Break for example...but now can't be bothered to watch anything I suspect will go on...and on....and on (aka as entire output of Atlantic). Probably miss some good programmes that way, but I prefer a serial with a resolution.

In the incredibly unlikely situation that you haven't already seen it, The Sopranos.

Must admit I did watch Lost (the end was rubbish) but thinking of it ,I do watch a lot of cooking programmes (hence the stone overweight) with masterchef being a particular favourite.

Line of Duty is absolutely superb. Thoroughly recommended, but you need to start right at the beginning. Also recommended if you like police drama with fantastic background scenery: Hinterland.
