Has anyone actually seen the amount of contact Vardy had with VVD to achieve this incredible injury to our beloved Dutchman.? It was almost a near miss. Honestly, I don't know why people keep us this Vardy hate. [unless you're just enjoying it, in which case, carry on] Unless he walloped him earlier in the match and I didn't see it [entirely possible].
I saw it, Vardy was walking up behind Virgil and, as he passed him, deliberately trod on his foot. Complete and utter vindictiveness, pure and simple. Virgil never even saw him coming.
Virgil had no chance, but think it was done at the end of Vardy's run. I'm sure it was deliberate, but not as obvious as a stamp....more that he wasn't going to slow up and avoid kicking VVD.
Just read the whole article from the bone journal....they set out to see if malleolar injury had a worse outcome than ligamentous injury. They showed that it came out about the same when treated by fixation. In some injuries, the treatment depends on what movement the person needs. I suspect that the fact that VVD is an athlete has to be considered....could fix me up for my sofa surfing life without too many problems..
You can clearly see Vardy stamp on VVD foot. No attempt to play the ball, and nothing to do with him running and catching VVD on the follow through. Wasn't that obvious but most definitely deliberate!
Yup, and he looked down to make sure he wouldn't miss. Nasty. But typical for the nasty racist* scumbag. Vin *Apologies, it wasn't racism, apparently it was "a regrettable error of judgment" when he abused a "Jap" in a casino. https://www.thesun.co.uk/archives/news/168910/vardy-yo-jap-walk-on/
I've only seen it once, and that was at the game and even then it looked deliberate. He's a scumbag and I can't wait for someone to do the same to him, he deserved it.
Well done for reading the whole thing Fran! That's the point though, fixation may not be appropriate for a professional athlete.
It was certainly intentional. Don't think he intended to injure him like he has but he definitely knew what he was doing. Plus, I've never liked the chavvy little prick anyway
As opposed to the Spurs hate, the Liverpool hate, the Everton hate, the Koeman hate, the Lovren hate, the Lallana hate... To me, all of that seems utterly pointless - I wasn't onboard with any of it at the time, and I'm still not now. And yet it is prevalent amongst many. The Vardy hate pales into insignificance in comparison, in my view. (And hey, if he did it on purpose, then he deserves the hate!)
The longer his injury goes on the more likely VVD will remain here. We won't get a decent price* without him impressing for another season. *i.e. one we'd be willing to consider. But then he thinks he will as well.
