Have to say the side looked good, we played some neet one touch stuff in the middle with conway, cowie and whitts all linking up. Mason - was awesome, i can see why malky rates him so highly, it was barely noticeable that gunnasron went off, he is quick with a good touch and links the ball up well.. Super Kev and Taylor put in a good shift up and down the flanks. and Huds chips in with the first goal. Bristol city struggled to cope with our energy and we harrassed them into making mistakes, but in turn we used the ball well. There will be sterner games yet, but i see no reason why we don't get another three points at home to Brighton in mideweek BLUE ARMY
what sort of player is mason? he's come on as a sub in both matches this season, and its clear that plymouth only accepted a relatively low fee for him because their finances arent great (and they have the master negotiator ridsdale )
Mason is young and Raw , he's been playing in an advance position kinda Attacking Mid, and picking up them second balls, doing a good job to link up the midfield and attack.. he's gonna do well to step into miller or earnie's shoes so he may have to his time there and settle for the attacking mid role - but he seems to be doing a good job of it
Mason played behind the front 2. Hes very comfortable on the ball , made intelligent runs , good passing and deserves to keep his place. He will be a PL player. Plymouth have made a mistake letting him go so cheap.
Plymouth desperately want cash and Ridsdale has to work day to day on that. There is probably a sell on clause or if he starts so many games they get more. At least here he is getting his chances. Anyway next game is another three points...it does not matter who you play the points remain the same. We have got the best start possible, still working with a new team so every game is interesting to see how they cope. We have not gone behind yet lol.
100% agree with all the above but just to put a positive twist on Hilts last comment, Malky has done an excellent job getting Mason so cheap View attachment 6508 Would be here all night trying to single out individuals so will just say the work ethic throughout the team today was fantastic to watch. Admittedly Bristol were poor but we made them look poor and, at times, I thought it looked a little too easy but again, that was down to some excellent one touch passing and movement through the midfield. Very early days yet with ups and downs to come but for now, I'm one happy Bluebird... The table doesn't look too bad either
