Stop ****ing about with Tapas and get your arse to 'Aegean' on Anlaby rerd and order a 'Meze'. Yeah I know it's in a run down area, but you'd never know once you're in there. Everything on their menu is delicious and the staff are wonderful. Greek heaven...
Algarve? I thought it was called Aegean? (Although the one I'm thinking was up for sale so might have changed)
Oh ****, no you're right Den, it is the Aegean It's Friday and I start early on a Friday. It is Friday isn't It?
It varies, some of the dishes will be £8 but then will some of the dishes will be £2-£4 like patatas bravas. It end up costing £10-£20 a person which is what you pay at most restaurants.
There's nowt for £2, bread's £3 and tapas is £4-8.00, you couldn't really eat there for a tenner, not unless you fancy bread and potato with tap water.
The Greek "Retsina and Mousaka" near where I used to live in Ealing did a ridiculous Meze. Was about 11 dishes and, after 2 hours, they asked us whether we'd yet had this, this and this. We ended up with a doggy bag that did us for another two meals. Last time I was there I got a pleasant surprise when I got home, finding that City'd beaten Everton 3-2.
You can get a lovely steak and ale pie with veg n chips/mash at Railway iInn New Ellerby or Bay horse at Arnold
Sounds nice but if I took my wife out for steak and ale pie with veg n chips/mash I'd be in serious trouble
Cycle out to Bay Horse on a nice warm night. A couple of Aspall ciders, Steak and Ale pie then 2/3 pints of Real Ale usually Great New some Koru.Very nice indeed.
