City v Birmingham City - SOLD OUT
    Posted: Fri 05 May 2017
    Author: Adam Baker
bcfc.co.uk: “This demonstrates the togetherness our supporters have shown this season, culminating in a full house on Sunday.

“We fully respect the integrity on the league and will be taking this game seriously because we want to continue our good form and end the season on a high.

“I cannot thank our fans enough for packing the Gate and making it a sell-out – a fantastic atmosphere is guaranteed.”

Fans are being urged to arrive early, with turnstiles open from 10am, especially with travel restrictions in place due to the Bristol 10K.

After the game, there will be a Family Festival – sponsored by Poplar Insulation – for home supporters. This includes the Supporters Club & Trust End of Season Awards, Hall of Fame inductees and a performance by The Wurzels.

Supporters without tickets are advised not to visit Ashton Gate on Sunday.

Must remember to deduct 3 from the potential crowd as there will be 3 of RR'S seats OK for them close by they can put there sarnies flasks and coats on them ...:emoticon-0105-wink:
they say sold out .....well is the figure 27000 or between 25400 and 26,000 as they say
with more than 25,400 set to be packed into Ashton Gate.

I would really be surprised to see the predicted crowds showing up in those numbers and it seems to be a bone of contention about how many Ashton Gate will actually hold. When I watched a live game recently even the commentators seemed to be miffed by the figures surrounding Ashton Gate and it's capacity.

Not 3, he said all his mates as well so probably 5
You've got segregation and also the hospitality seats etc.
It won't look sold out @invermeremike as they will include season tickets sold towards the figures not the actual number that turns up.

I would love to agree but we all know where over confidence can leave us, you know 3 wins in 30 games, it was his fault we failed so dismally and subjected us to the shame we all suffered, he just managed to save his skin, I'm glad Bristol City FC are safe but don't let us become to smug, we are stuck with the little fella let us all hope he lives up to his mantra and waffle...

    And do you know what?
After Sunday we won't win a game till at least July so the futures not bright either.

To be honest with you, I have got to say I've really enjoyed this season as I like the will we won't we scenario in life. Would prefer to be the other end of the table but that's life we can only deal with the cards we are dealt with.

I didn't want LJ but I'm not going to let it grind me down and carry on doing what I love to do.

I was due to play a charity football match at Swindons County Ground tomorrow but I tore a hamstring playing 5-a-side last night.
    Gutted. :(

I can't be there today as the sun won't let me be dragged away from Spain!!!
I hope (even though not a great season) that LJ & the players get a cracking reception. It was, in the end a gallant effort by all to steer away from the drop.
Even with all the negative comments still pointed at LJ, I don't see anyone out there "that's available" that would fill me with anymore optimism..
It's been a decent couple of months, in fact all season I've said I don't think we're too far from being a decent side.. Most will point the finger at LJ.. and at times I'm sure that was the case but the players will probably say they too have underperformed..,
Onwards and upwards.. I see a much better season on the horizon!!!!
    Yours sincerely
    Happy clapper!!

I do so agree with you that Bristol City FC deserve a cracking reception along with Steve Cotterill who gave us the most successful season we have had in years and the players from his team, still with us that helped us just survive the current term.

We have no pressure upon us,so I am hoping to see some of the Johnson promises showing green shoots, you know the Europa with in 5 years, Fast Track to the Premier, and £25m value players and standards, also perhaps he can vindicate Mr Lansdown's comments about giving jnr a chance by his comparison with Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger, don't let's fall into the trap of giving jnr the benefit of the last 6 games only, let us also remember the 30 games without a win and him breaking the club record of 12 or more straight defeats in a row, a disgusting achievment.

I am a realist and not a Johnson fan but I recognise the fact he is here to stay, I wish the team well and hope for a good start to next sseason with Johnson, he is a very lucky fella with a good sugar daddy to look after him.

I hope we all have a good break and successful 2017/18, it will be interesting times. I've got to go now but I can't quite remember where we are going.
