Awesome away performance by la Vecchia Signora. What a subdued atmosphere in Monaco, was like the Portaloo on a bad day! They may not have been issued with clappers, but they could at least have rattled their Cartier jewellery! Mbappé is definitely a talent, but now he knows it's not so easy against proper defenders.
This isn't like PD to give this title - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...op-six-if-alex-neil-had-gone-sooner-1-5003703. Rusty then goes on to say that several players including himself, were not god enough mentally!! I mean, he's been promoted and relegated several times since he came to CR, so surely he of all people should be able to motivate the team to perform better????
From the BBC match report on tonight's play off game: So why are Huddersfield being hassled for doing exactly the same thing in their game VS Brum last weekend
I would presume it would be because Rochdale are mid-table and therefore the result had little effect on any other teams. Huddersfield were playing a potential relegation candidate and by playing a weakened team they increased Birmingham's chance of survival, which hasn't sat well with those still fighting for survival. I disagree with the situation completely, Huddersfield and Wagner should be able to start which ever team he wants to pick. All teams prioritise certain games and rest particular players for games, which isn't technically to the letter of the law.
Have to agree with this. Huddersfield main goal is to get promoted, they're not concerned about other teams and rightly so. Although if it was our team fighting for survival I would feel annoyed, so I can also understand why those teams and supporters do complain.
Was listening to this live as I got to work. Was so strange and gripping to listen to. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/wilkins-custis-rashford-manchester-united-10359434 I use to like Ray, but more and more I've thought: "he's getting more and more blunt and aggressive with his opinions, and he doesn't seem to acknowledge anyone else, and their opinions. During the start of this interview I was thinking, Here comes Ray again. But he wouldn't stop, and you could hear, pretty early, the journalist kind of sigh, and tell him what he's saying it silly. Then it escalated really quickly. Ray was totally in the wrong, and this have been coming for a long while.
Man City. Fined £300,000 and banned for 2 years from signing academy players, after being found guilty twice of breaking rules signing youngsters. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39820993
The executives at Citeh will stick their hands down the back of the sofa and pull out the £300k - it's hardly going to affect them I'd have thought.
Another snippet from today's EDP from an interview with Martin - “The club have decided to make a change, now we need the supporters to back us from the start and from the first game at Carrow Road, whatever date, against whoever, let’s be together. Whether I am playing or not, here or not, that is what the club need. It is not about any individual because it is going to be really important next year.” So Rusty and co - give the fans something to cheer about in EVERY game and we'll support and cheer (EVEN in the N&P or whatever it's going to be called next year!!!) -
The Money wont. Being on the back foot against all the biggest Clubs, if a new wonderkid emerges would possibly hurt them.
Seems like the Venkys have pretty much destroyed the once great club of Blackburn Rovers - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39824468!! So that's Leyton Orient as good as gone and Blackburn Rovers could go the same way. Edit - Scotland under 17s snatch the lead against Hungary after sustaining a period of Hungarian pressure, their keeper fails to hold a free kick and Rudden of Rangers scores. I see France put 7 past the Faroe Islands. Edit II - I see Middleton has been subbed just before the hour and Hungary have equalised. Match ended 1-1, so Scotland now have to beat France on Tuesday to go through.
Sunderland now beating Hull 2-0. Hull should have had a penalty and Defoe's goal was pretty clearly offside and his first goal in 10 games!! So Hull could be in the bottom 3 with Swansea hosting Everton in the evening kick off. The 3rd relegation slot could be decided on GD.
How was Niasse (Sp?) over head kick attempt for Hull not a foul? He even kicks O'Shea's arm!? They even had the cheek to complain it was a hand ball and should have been their pen! Jerome never touched his man with his disallowed goal!
Let's hope we don't play Seb today, we don't want to let QPR see how poor he is! https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/t...ee-replacement-for-onuoha-at-qpr-next-season/
The Australian A League grand final is about to kick off here. Sydney FC v Melbourne Victory managed by a certain Kevin Muscat I know who I'm supporting.
I know you're probably all hanging on what happened... 1-1 after extra time. Sydney win on pens. Bad luck Kevin.
