And SkySports now reporting its going to be 55% Fernandes, 45% Bhatia(shareholding of course)!! Just on SkySports news, Fernandez was interviewed.
Not wanting to come across as an apologist for Cerny B and have explained my appreciation for his posts - but GMG, whilst we can surmise that CB is having a giggle and/or gets 'great satisfaction from the attention and from stringing people along' we can hardly state it as fact. To my knowledge, Cerny's certainly never admitted he's on a wind up and his Orwell quote signature strongly suggests otherwise. Maybe it's all just a question of perspective eh?
No one's complained and no one minds a tease. Apologies if I got you wrong. As for a drop of plonk... ah, the oil in the engine of opinion (ask Wubba)! Green light, clear to continue (cheers!).
I just meant it's a ''fact'' that I 'think' that. Bad timing all round really, its been a bad weekend!
What you never seem to acknowledge though, is that CB posts predictions that don't happen and then denies he ever said them. That's not perspective...it's in black and white. I'm not taking this too seriously mate, but you don't seem to be being very even handed here.
Okay Col, I'm conscious that I may be coming across as being a bit unfair to you. Not at all intended I assure you but if someone was proper cracking into you just for being respectful Col, you'd have my support. I think the perspective I'm talking about is in the interpretation of the word prediction. Horoscopes, weather forecast, pools panel etc. etc. are taken as what they are, regardless of whether or not they come true... If forecasts materialise, great. If not, whatever. Forecasters lose their cred when they're never right. Sometimes right is acceptable. Atm Mordy appears a non-starter. I don't remember CB on 606 but many say he was often right... For the reasons given his cred seems okay to me. Fair or unfair then?
Unfair imo mate. All I'm saying is that you never acknowledge that CB denies saying something when it doesn't come to fruition, even though it was clearly written in black and white for all to see. That is the most annoying thing about him for me. If you look back, Northy, who was also asking me to lay off CB, at least did acknowledged this when he said "busted"!! I don't want to get into a big argument about all this, as I suspect that's part of what keeps our Cerny going, but you do seem a little blinkered on this issue. However, I usually agree with most of your posts and, at the end of the day, if any of CB's predictions/claims come true and they are for the good of the club, I for one will be chuffed to bits!
Cerny's prediction is looking wrong. If Fernandez 55% Bhatia 45% turns out to be true. Kept saying there is no interest from the Mittals. Cerny - What do you believe now?
give him a chance. ever since the news of the world closed down he's had to rely on showbiz editors for his titbits. obviously not as reliable
Okay, so we've thrashed that out. I agree two things: 1. It's true, CernyB should 'fess up to the things he didn't get right as well as those he did. Having said that he has acknowledged the fact that he's not always right on a number of occasions but only as a general comment, no specifics. 2. You Col, have made clear on many occasions that you hope certain predictions are right and would apologise profusely if you doubted him and he turned out to be right. However, the egg on face experience I think you're looking for does lay implicit as things pan out. When someone makes a public prediction and it doesn't come off, we ALL know the score - including the forecaster... 'Nuff said? As for me, I acknowledge that I'm just a trainee Moderator learning me balances. Check how long this has gone on... as against the number of times Norf hits the spot with a couple of well chosen words! Clearly got me work cut out. CernyB, if you're reading this, splitting your sides and revelling in the attention as Col and GMG suspect, let's just say this one's on me... You can see what's being said, now let's see what changes.
There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know.
Tooting, never expected Johari to make an appearance on the QPR forum! SO much debate about Cerny. Too busy monitoring the news at present. For those who may not know (and don't do twitter), type 'QPR News' into google and hit the 'last hour' tab for moment by moment news.
What about the 'unknown knowns'? Those things that we don't know that we know? Such as when the wife is jibber-jabbering away, you've completely zoned out, and then she ends with "what do you think, darling?". The number of times I come back with exactly the right sort of feasible-sounding response, I must know what she's said at some level, but I'm buggered if I could understand how....
I tend to reply with a colour of my choosing when confronted with this problem which then wins the bonus of hours of the silent treatment
