I don't think Virgil is there yet either. He's fantastic for a club our size....a real quality player....but there will be other players out there for the top clubs to choose....but probably at a higher price. He will be bought for the talent he has, but also for his potential. There will be a top price...let's hope Saints price him out of the market.
I know the Sunderland goal was extra special, but the whip he put on that Boro goal was something very few can do with control. And he hit that ball with everything he had. Goalkeeper was rooted because it went straight at him before it veered away.
It's the manner of their leaving that makes the difference. Andrew Surman, for example, will always be an extra special ex-Saint for me because he had to leave and didn't want to go.
