Will add that that is the first time I've seen the winner since the day... Fraser should have saved that...
And thank **** for that. They're at everything else. Common touch or not, I still find it bewildering how anyone finds them remotely entertaining. I mean, what do they actually do.? I can see more in what James Corden does, and that's almost invisible too.
Really don't see how anyone could argue it isn't VVD - he is the only players to have put in world class performances and he did it almost every time he played. As for his injury - he has played only 8 times less than Romeu this season so there isn't a huge difference in game time. Perhaps people are bias toward Romeu as they think he will stay beyond the summer
First bold - Really? Romeu has been outstanding almost every single game, I struggle to count one hand of poor performances. Second bold - That's ridiculous, people are being bias because he's played the entire season. You can't have a player of the SEASON if they haven't played for the entire season. Romeu has played almost every game and has been a colossus. He fully deserves to win it. Plus I thought everyone was saying Virgil wasn't going, that's what people keep telling me anyway...
I see that Ed Chamberlain is honoured to present again. He's going to have that gig for as long as he wants, I suspect.
Romeu hasn't been world class!! I use world class to describe players that would get in almost any team on the planet, who are the very best in the world at what they do. There are very few world class players and Romeu is not one of them. Saying that, he has been brilliant. He has been so important for us this season and without him we would have been lost. Easily the most improved player but if you think he is world class then you are probably quite loose with the term. As for your second point, out of the 48 games we have been involved with this season, Romeu has played just 8 games more. I wouldn't say that is a substantial amount to say VVD hasn't been involved enough this season.
Matt Hale saying something important about the Academy lads. It's not about silverware, it's about progressing the youngsters.
Give over TSS. You say that once a year. A lot of people find them funny and entertaining including me. You're just a miserable old git
Sorry probably poorly phrased, thought you were saying that some of Virgils performances have been world class rather than him actually being world class. Of course I don't think Romeu is world class, but there's been plenty of games earlier in the season even when Virgil was fit where Romeu was mine (and many others) MOTM. At the end of the day, You can't give a player of the SEASON award to a player who only played until January. Fwiw, I wouldn't even consider Virgil world class just yet...
