Because whoever was drawing up the rules decide that was the way they wanted to do it.

I would prefer a head to head system,,personally. Would concentrate minds wonderfully of teams engaged in a title or relegation battle wonderfully. Especially it tge first game glad gen a draw or an away win.

Funny enough, someone said it should be at a stadium which has a pitch between the dimensions of Swansea's and ours.
City's is 116 x 76 yards, Swansea's is 114 x 74 yards. The only stadium with a pitch between those two, 115 yards x 75 yards is Wembley. The nearest two league pitches in size are Old Trafford and St James Park, though ours is slightly wider than both.
Amusing to think how the HDM went through the usual how would City adapt to the wide open spaces of Wembley when ours is a slightly larger area.
Same when FC and Rovers got there, much earnest discussion about whether the wide open spaces of Wembley would affect their game when Wembley's pitch as laid out for rugby league is the same size as the KC.

Do it on average home gates. Both cities are a similar size. Our stadium holds 4,000 more, so with the highly successful membership scheme that the Allams informed everybody was pulling in more fans we should walk that one...

Why is everyone wasting their time on a ficticious play-off. It is not going to happen. FACT
We will get more points than Swansea.

Typical of some people to choose a place renowned for its brewing.

Stayed there when I was working round there a few years ago. It was very good. Nice little ground too.

A shame there are no grounds in Somerset that could stage it near cider producing farms. Maybe Plymouth is worth considering as they have a gin distillery there.

Hey Castor oil, if you are trying to suggest that Chavz is an alky, you are being way too subtle for Chavz.

A Dramas' mate of mine sent me this, from 'Loft For Words'

    Personally I hope Hull survive for a number of reasons;

    - It's less of a ballache than Swansea and you don't have to pay to cross the fckin bridge
    - Based on the start they had where they were rightly written off, plus the fact their best player was sold in Jan - they deserve huge credit
    - It wil make them more attractive to a buyer and the toxic cnts the Allams could be gone
    - I think Silva is a great manager and can do good things with them next year

Not sure for relegation but it use to be in the rules that if all was equal for the title it would be decided by the toss of a coin. I think I'd rather have a one off match

Why would point 1 be relevant for a DQPR fan hoping we survive? They're not in the Premier League. Surely for this reason they'd hope we get relegated.
