First week-end available at Wembley would be Sat 3rd June - which might then throw into doubt some of loan players contracts. Anyway the play-off ain't gonna happen.
Yes I'd say around equidistance - may be a bit closer for us. Segregation might be an issue though. On the plus side at least Villa Park is used to hosting relegation battles...
Given that we've beat them twice I'd fancy our chances of being the first team in PL history to do the treble over a team in PL games. (I haven't checked) It'd be a cracking quiz question.....
last time I checked Villa Park was in Aston/Birmingham and nowhere near the middle of Hull or Swansea.
That's the problem - imagine so. At least with the promotion race, Champions League, World Cup - whatever - you know at the start of the tournament that it could come down to this. The fact that we don't know when a game would take place, where and what format should it be a draw is a problem in my eyes. It's very unlikely to happen - any probability bods able to put a percentage on it? - but it could do.
I don't know what odds you'd get but the fact we'd need to score 4 more goals than Swansea yet earn 2 points less then them makes it very unlikely. I'm not saying it's impossible but I think it would be more likely if it were Swansea that needed to make up the goal difference, goals and points.
The point equidistant from Liberty Stadium and KCOM Stadium is in a field of solar panels near Stafford. I'm not sure it's a practical location for such a high profile fixture.
The norm in calculating distances between cities is to use each City Hall as a reference point. I've recalculated and the mid-point is actually in the field just next to the field with solar panels.
It would be at Wembley, simply because its a guaranteed full house and the FA have a loan to pay down.
