He didn't recruit Silva from what was said. Silva had previously put himself forward and Ehab showed no interest. It was only after Silva's agent touted him that Ehab actually had a look at him. Unfortunately I can see Silva departing following a summer of ****wittery from the boy wonder (assuming we keep him in the first place) and another season approaching as we sell players, don't have a manager and run around trying to find anyone decent who hasn't already been signed and paying over the odds as clubs know we are desperate. Hope I am wrong and Silva stays, the Allams back him and he brings in more players who play his more attractive style of playing which is far better to watch. He has the potential to be our best ever manager. But this is City...this is the Allams...
You are perhaps forgetting about Allam's highly decorated career as a multi-million pound property mogul.....
Like I said the "facts" I repeat are my opinions of which I'm 100% sure of all but one, and I'm 95% sure of that one. My opinions are partially based on Assem Allam's public comments and his comments to the supporters' meeting, but only partially. The rest come from people I met on the street, people I met through work and a conversation Nick Thompson held with a third party that was reported back to the CTWD Committee.

They did recruit him. They gave him the job. They took a gamble on him and allowed him to bring all his coaching staff to Hull.
Fish told members of Tigers 2000 that they were not welcome at the club. Fish didn't try to change the clubs name because there might have been a cost to him to do so. But he sold the clubs name plaque, the only chairman and club to do so. He even sold the crush barriers for scrap value. He had no need to rig votes because one man ( his boss) held all the voting shares in the club even though we had shareholders in those days. He didn't kick any youth sports clubs out of places that he was subsidising because he had already disbanded all the ones connected to the club. I think several governing rules were flouted before we ended up at the High Court facing winding up orders. For the record every point on the Tigers 2000 mission statement when the campaign was fought to rid the club of Fish and Co was achieved.
I don't know why you're telling me this, I was a fully paid up member of Tigers 2000 who attended many meetings. In particular I have fond memories of the one attended by Leigh Palin. If you were there you'll be able to recount what happened. I also don't know why you mention youth clubs associated with Hull City, or selling name plaques, or crash barriers, or saying protesters aren't welcome at the club. That's not comparable to what Allam(s) did.
So, the report that they had not been interested when he approached them and only considered him after his agent approached them with his CV was wrong?
What did he buy Mason and Marshall with ? Chocolate buttons ? The only person 'backing people into a corner' was Phelan himself by holding out for a three year contract and a better financial package then Bruce was on.
