Agger is better overall. Carragher is better positionally, but probably not overall. The rest of ours are worse. He's your 3rd best behind Terry and Alex, and maybe even Ivanovic when he plays there.
Add to that list Vidic, Kompany, Cahill, Vermaelen, Ferdinand, possibly even Toure (I've tried to stick to those playing for the top few sides, because I imagine your one of those who think every player in a poor side must be rubbish.)
I'll happily count Luiz amongst the top 10 at the end of the season if he does well. I won't put him there after an 'ok' six months, where he's shown good ability going forward, but a lack of concentration positionally.

Fair enough, I personally believe he is better than all of you CBs with the exception of Carragher. Why do you imagine I think every player in a poor side is rubbish? By one post you think you know who I think is good or not? Luiz is better than Vermaelen and most DEFINITELY Toure, the only reason you made that comment is because you can't think of any other valid players to put who are actually better than Luiz. Of course he isn't going to be perfect, you said he 'can't' tackle, which is a very stupid point if you look on youtube at his career at Chelsea, he needs to get used to the PLs pace before his tackling is spot on. He had one bad game last season against United - away. Not bad if you ask me.

I added Toure as a probable because he's been decent over the last few seasons, but dodgy recently. The guys from lower teams I wanted to add were Samba and Shawcross, for their aerial presence and physicality.
