Probably right with that one, it's a short career and when players look back on it they want something to show.
Imagine the marriage guidance session... Counsellor: "Ok...before we start... Louise, you look sad...how are you feeling?" Jamie : "But what you don't get is that these players must ... MUST leave spurs" Counsellor: "Jamie...we are trying to hear what Loui...." Jamie: "my dad would have won the league with these players...but now they will all be going to city...mark my words" Louise : " see ... he is obsessed with..." Jamie : "it spurs that are obsessed ... fancy thinking any decent player doesn't want to leave to join united" Louise: " YOU JUST SAID CITY YOU CRETIN BUT NOW IT'S UNITED?" Jamie: "exactly, Chelsea is the place to be" "Counsellor: " Leave the mo fo...he's mental" Jamie : " what's mental is tottenham thinking they can come top 4" And round and round it goes
No sign of Pep being put on the rack over the Sane dive, no questions to Wenger on the Sanchez handball and antics a couple of days after being caught cheating and worse still Moanarinho is allowed to make what appears to be ridiculous allegations about his own players feigning injury without comeback......... now there's a surprise!
Stan Bollomore is saying that Marcus Rashford, Leroy Sane and Harry Kane should all be banned for diving. Here's some other Muppets' thoughts on that
Phil the Greek stepping down from his public engagements is not a difficult story to get wrong, but The Sun still managed it...
Not content with costing Rupert Murdoch tens of thousands of pounds in lost revenue on Merseyside every single week, in an interview with the New York Time Kelvin McKenzie made the following quote: I think the fake news headline that would give this country the most joy would be: ‘Jeremy Corbyn knifed to death by an asylum seeker’ ...and, coward that he is, a few hours later he sent a text to the NY Times interviewer asking "Can you change that perfect headline from ‘Jeremy Corbyn knifed to death by asylum seeker’ to ‘Jeremy Corbyn defrauded by asylum seeker.’ In the light of Jo Cox murder mine is in tol (sic) poor taste” - a request which was obviously ignored, given the original quote was the one that was published, because why would any self-respecting journalist amend the story to cover someone's ass, which hasthe added benefit of reflecting poorly on the Murdoch Empire and, therefore, the New York Post.
McKenzie is a sleaze bag, but now appears on a course of self-destruction. I am just surprised that he still has any media value whatsoever: in reality he is just that alcoholic racist with terrible BO that lurks in the corner of the tackiest boozer in the worst part of town - ranting noisily, but basically treated as a very sad joke!
LBC..... that's a blast from the past. A long, long time ago it was a proper radio news station. I'm going back to Bob and Doug on the breakfast show and when they used to have the evening's greyhound results on for about 15 minutes after the late night news (@ 11 O' Clock?). Jeremy Beadle was actually funny and interesting on Sunday nights on LBC, as was Fred Housego. I haven't listened to it in decades and had kind of forgotten it existed.
Am I the only that thinks that their regular output would be improved by this approach? If McKenzie wants anything that he says in poor taste edited out, then he's going to have to get another job. It's criminal that he's still employed as a journalist in this country.
Tottenham are ready to consider offers for unsettled England defender Kyle Walker, 26. (London Evening Standard) Is this true? Does anyone know what the problem is with Walker? Has he had a bust-up with Poch? What was it about?
HIAG - this has been (over) debated on here for the past few days. No quotes, no evidence and 'usual' press sources - so best guess is its a pile of excrement. Wouldn't put it past the Chavs (or even the Spammers) to have used their press influence to stir up some disssent in the camp. I'd best get my tin foil hat on!!! **Update** I might actually be in need of that hat after all....... the author of this latest 'Walker' revelation is also the promoter of the Spammers in this article: http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/cri...amour-ties-at-cricket-world-cup-a3529361.html No ****-wit, its NOT their ****ing stadium!!!
Danny Murphy has written in the Standard that it's not City's fault that the thought of a bumper City deal is dominating his thoughts. So whose fault is it, Danny? Would it be pundits like you who cannot talk about our team for thirty seconds without trying to link our players to one of the usual suspects, or would it be Chelsea fan George Osborne's Evening Standard which continues to publish stories saying how we are selling Walker to City for £35m even though they don't have a single quote, source, or scrap of evidence other than the Standard's cricket correspondent Tom Collomosse picking a figure of £35m out of thin air and making an entire article out of it?
Face facts, people. Pochettino has given these mongrels nothing from the Narrative (TM) waste food bin for ages. And in their fully starved state, they are all fighting to the death over the Walker scraps.
But wouldn't it be nice if we were to win well tonight, Walks gets a goal and MOTM and then in the aftermatch interview pledges the rest of his career to Spurs!!
