Jeez! They may well be discussing that same text (which I personally doubt), but they were actually there & are discussing personal experience of the rant. You've clearly missed this (intentionally or otherwise). Did you not notice the quotes I gave you to back this? And anyway, how do you know what they're discussing? There is absolutely zero reference to the text Shaks quoted. Or perhaps you have some evidence of this & just forgot to enlighten us? Hmmm.
Just remember this doing the rounds ages ago - transpired it was started on a Man Utd forum with the original post being about Liverpool fans - a few hours later Leeds were added - then a few hours later Galatassaray was added - I maybe wrong, but from memory, Gary Cooper (remember him) found out about it and set up a facebook group - from there it escalated and eventually the truth came out after someone from the Special's management company found out about it - , Gary Cooper had to apologise and facebook page was binned. Your post, WJ, has cleared that up for me. I agree, that remark was a bit off colour, well, very off colour, but is it really worth all this griping on this board?
Difference being Terry Hall is not and does not pretend to be one of us. If the desths of two of our supporters ( one of who I knew btw) isnt something for us to treat above using to wum what is? I respect your view but I beg to differ.
1) Firstly, if I posted something that genuinely upset other members and it caused this much fuss I would delete it. 2) If I hadn't deleted it after WJs post number 113 I would expect a backlash, it couldn't be made clearer 3) I wouldn't have got this far because I would have deleted and moved on but... I wondered if these events really happened so I searched and searched and I found the same as our Millwall friends, no real evidence that it was ever said. Just forum chat all quoting the same source or referring to "he said she said". I found the "there is the door (To Liverpool fans)" and "thanks for Cantona" links but nothing else and that was searching Google, Bing and Yahoo. 4) When using Google it threw up this forum and my previous link/post where you originally described it as "off colour banter" so I don't understand why it was off colour banter IF Terry Hall actually said it back then and now it is much worse? 5) Ellandback posted The Specials video back in 2011 nothing was said. 6) LeedsLover drives me nuts at his one sided view of certain players, I agree, I believe he posts certain links with a view to antagonise members, I don't get it myself, I only assume it is to prove himself right when he is wrong and can't step back down. 7) I truly believe this particular incident has been a witch hunt, its distasteful as was a post asking people to vote if he should be banned or not, I was quite shocked and surprised by that one. On a personal level I don't believe he should be banned for posting a Specials video but if the mods banned him for being a WUM or for other incidents then that's their call. I was glad to see the back of Leeds60 but others felt it was harsh, all opinions

i agree with all of this mate, 24 hours to delete a video thats caused all this is more than fair enough though. I was also responsible for deleting the vote to remove Leeds Lover thread as I thought that was harsh, I'm trying to stay balanced in all this, and put my personal feelings to a side and thought the best way LL could fix this for himself would be to simply delete the video

Goes with territory to a degree. I would have banned LL the second he turned up (but I am not a mod) knowing some of the history on ja. In this case, I wasn't aware of exactly (couldn't remember) what Terry Hall said or didn't say and asked Shaks, both he and others filled in the blanks. Please note I am not throwing shaks or the others under a bus for this they believe what they posted to be true and that is good enough for me. Even ifs not true and they are mistaken the fact so many think it is and the anger is causes should have meant the vid and subsequent backing it up comments should have been deleted. The entire board is been wummed not in a matey lets get together and have a few beers way but in a I am top dog and bollix to the rest of you way. There is no wit or banter its just a series of put downs.Take me out of the equation, just read some of the sneering responses even before this blew up to Wakey and WJ. I am done with this subject now.
No malice Marcos, I've mentioned this before, I don't have a second account, I don't play pretend games, can't see the point. I've been a Leeds supporter longer than most on here, maybe not those who are older, if there is any. I keep reading about something I'm suppose to have said, the only thing I asked Mighty is if the Specials did the original moonstomp song. I'm lost to all this I'm suppose to have said this and that. If something was said, then I'm not the one who typed it. Terry Hall Lead singer of the Specials was rumoured to have referenced Galatasaray aimed at upsetting Leeds fans at a concert. WJ and Glory believe you posted the Specials video in spite, you posted it to wind up others. Other posters have liked or give opinion along the way, Bucks has given you 24 hours from his post to delete the Specials video you posted. That's it in black and white, posting this in a "don't know what the fuss is about" manner does you no favours. If I risked being banned I would read through every single post to determine the problem. If you haven't I suggest you do, if you have and you didn't realise the above then I'm afraid you've lost me and I can only assume you're being stubborn in an attempt to wind others up even more.
