What I'm saying is instead of bringing in another rule, why not make sure referees enforce the perfectly adequate one that already exists?

I know. You've said that since, but when I replied to you, you said it was a **** rule :)

Ahh so you're being pedantic? :)

I also think it would be **** anyway as the periods where teams are down would be like watching Mourinho vs Pulis.

But for the sake of argument, change **** for unneccesary <ok>

I am very sorry and apologise for you realising you hastily used an incorrect word :)

I should have known that. How silly and pedantic of me :emoticon-0148-yes:

Well after a few posts it was clear what I was getting at. You chose to ignore my point completely and focus on that.

I can only assume you realised I had a good point and therefore you had no argument against it <ok>

What did you do with your Parker? Don't suppose you've still got the old Lambretta hanging about too? :)

Know who he is, but missed the M.O.D. connection completely... don't know why :)

Hope your refereeing is better than your comedy

I wish. Was never a mod[ern], but I truly loved that Lambretta. If I could have anyone one of my old bikes back it would be either my Triumph Sports Cub or my Lambretta GP125.

The thing I loved most about the 200cc Sports Cub [it had off-road tyres on it] was its torque. I could put-put up a steep hill and I could wheelie it at the top, just for fun. It was so lovely. I let a distant relative have it.
The Lambretta was beautiful Italian engineering. How else could a 125cc 2T engine produce so much speed [70mph] and power for almost no maintenance, while being lubricated on a 50:1 petroil mix? This being a 1970 scooter, during a time when BSA Bantam bikes had trouble not seizing at 25:1. ;)

If I had thought for just a few seconds I would have kept both of those bikes. But in youth, you don't. :)

Interesting thing about the Juventus Stadium, where tonight's CL semi final is being played:

please log in to view this image

1] It's relatively new. The first spade hit the ground in 2009. It opened in 2011.
2] Its capacity is 41,507, and the largest crowd Juve have had there is 41,470 [though tonight may beat that].

Which kind of tells you a couple of things. 1] You don't have to have the biggest stadium in the world, or be the best home supported, to be competitive anymore, as TV and Merchandising can provide the bulk of the wealth, and 2] Although it looks a lot bigger than St Mary's, it has only approximately 9,000 seats more. I guess there's a lot of comfort there. Click on the pic to see full size.
