Haven't seen Mawson play but the few MOTD shots i see he's a big unit who is dangerous in the opposition area. Tries to play the swansea way but looks a bit clumsy. John Stones on the otherhand at times looks world class but seems to be super clumsy in that he makes loads of mistakes (not sure playing in a pep team helps). Super super overrated. Most of the times though, it's how teams defend as a unit so i guess i can' put all the blame on Stones.
Last summer they picked up Cole Kpekawa from QPR and Adam Jackson from Middlesbrough respectively, so expect them to be on someone's radar next season.
More importantly, he adds to the Harry collection. Is it worth making a bid for Huddersfield winger Harry Bunn?
Walks is so unhappy at Spurs he's looking for an alternative career!!! That's another narrative killed!!
Depends how long ago the video was filmed ...although if Walker scalded himself on a hot pan, that explains a lot.
According to the Daily Mail....."Toby Alderweireld wants more than £100k to sign a new contract at Spurs. Tottenham are unwilling to give Alderweireld such a large pay increase.....talks between both parties are ongoing with Spurs hopeful of reaching an agreement." So, we're...... negotiating.....a new...... contract. Simple really..... unless you don't want it to be.
Alfie mawson was a Brentford player wycombe had him on loan for a season and he was brilliant. If memory serves me right he was voted player of the season.solid defender and scored some vital goals from free kicks and corners.there's some very talented players in the lower leagues of which mawson was one .wycombe have a centre half who a lot of clubs are keeping an eye on arron pierre he is destined to make it to the top.just wish spurs took a gamble on these youngsters rather than chuck millions at sissoko types.after all look at dele alli that says it all well worth the gamble
Mundo Deportivo are reporting that we're unsure about whether to make Pau Lopez's loan permanent, while Espanyol say they don't want him back. So his signing will be announced in mid-June then...
Chelsea fan George Osborne's Evening Standard are reporting that we're ready to listen to offers in excess of £35m for Kyle Walker, backing that claim up with a complete absence of any of the following: i. Evidence ii. Sources iii. Quotes If only they put the time and effort into reporting stories with actual evidence, sources and quotes - for example the currently investigated electoral expenses scandals that occurred before and during the 2010 and 2015 general elections, scandals which happened to benefit...George Osborne.
Narrative deflecting from Poch. I avoid saying 'crushing' because the quotes aren't quite as robust as I would've liked them to be. It concerns me that he didn't just come out and say 'Kyle is going nowhere this summer'. But anyhow, at least radio silence has been broken at long last... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39809246
Posted this on the Bill Nick thread earlier: Bearing in mind Poch's new tack on dealing with these rumours (see recent referral to DL...) I would interpret these comments to be a confident prediction for the future. Don't reckon he thinks anyone is leaving too soon!
Jokes aside, its a no-brainer. Loves the club, massive experience, great ambassador - and can still cut it at PL level. Is there a downside?
CalcioMercato are reporting that Franck Kessie is headed to Milan this summer, so there's one to cross of the prospective list.
Last night demonstrated why we need to have someone to cover Dembele, because if there's as much as a grain of truth to the talk he needs a full week off between games, this is something that clearly needs to be addressed if we are to have any hope of competing on multiple fronts next season - because it's quite likely we'll be in a situation where we have a week that contains a crucial European game sandwiched between two crucial league games, and that's a situation where we need to be able to field the best team we can rather than field a team missing a key component of it.
