perfect chance to get full house, ie better atmosphere in what was,as it turned out a very crucial match.
I assumed there was some daft rule that stated that if we did not offer it to Forest then it had to stay empty??
Lack of demand I'd guess, there were plenty of seats available in the rest of the ground as well, it felt fairly full but certainly not rammed. Could be that Forest took it, as is their right, but couldn't sell the tickets (they still have to pay us).
Having bought very late on there was virtually nothing left. Gaps must have been season ticket non attendance or the club was lying and adjusted online ticketing too. Seemed odd to leave it empty
If the away club wants the entire School End we have to give it to them (and they have to pay us for it) even if they then discover they can't sell the tickets. I'm sure you are right that some season ticket holders didn't go.
Forest's home crowds are much bigger than ours so I am sure they could have sold the tickets, quite easily as big a match for them as us, if not bigger. Crap organisation, not thought through by the powers that be. What do they do all week if it's not study stats, different ways of selling extra tickets etc?
I think Stan is right (****, don't tell him!!). Forest probably asked for the whole end and then couldn't sell the tickets. We usually sell the bottom tier when the away team only take the top.
