The Daily Mail claim that Liverpool have placed an incredible £40 million price tag on the head of striker Daniel Sturridge ahead of the summer transfer windows with the club aware that the 27-year-old could request a move away from Anfield as he struggles to nail down a regular spot in between his numerous injuries.
Both Paris Saint-Germain and West Ham are thought to be keen on the England international, who has missed a number of games with a virus and a hip injury recently, before returning to the bench against Watford on Monday night. Whilst his future is not clear, such a price tag would suggest that the Reds are not keen to sell.
The club may feel that they need the depth that Sturridge provides if they do achieve their goal of qualifying for the Champions League next season, which they took a huge step towards doing as they beat Watford by one goal to nil to put their destiny in their own hands. After the game, Jurgen Klopp told the press, as quoted by the club website, that he was pleased with the display:

Hilarious.

the person writing this must have been laughing with every word.

Naby Keita seems to be our main CM target but I hope we also go in for this guy:

Talks between Schalke & Goretzka to renew his contract have stalled. Goretzka's current contract expires in 2018. [HASHTAG]#s04[/HASHTAG]

Isco has to be with a punt, he's not getting into the Real team often enough and would be a brilliant addition.

Leonardo Da Silva Lopes is getting a lot of plaudits at the moment and Peterborough are not going to turn down a decent sized bid.

Lacazette will only move for CL football and not a kick and rush team.

Rules out United on both counts? :bandit:

Would be brilliant signing I think but going to cost **** tonne of cash.

Lacazette would be perfect playing in front of Cout, Firm and Mane.

We sign him it's massive.

Isco and VVD too and world domination is on the cards!

Isco would be my wet dream if I'm honest. But highly doubt it.

Chap called Andy Heaton who writes and speaks on the Anfield Wrap said agreement is pretty much done for VVD, dependent on CL qualification. He's pretty reliable ...
