Reports suggest Aitor Karanka is in the frame to replace Moyes. If they are looking for a more negative bar steward, he is your man. I hope this is bull sh1t
ha ha has he ****. You have to love the papers.....bringing up absolute horse **** before Moyes has even had the inevitable end of season meeting with Short and Baines.
But agree Karanka a big no - damaged goods and would not be welcomed by many. We need a charismatic manager who excites the fans by his prescence here - if damaged dour dave goes, but he may walk the walk and be successful here next year (unlikely )
Personally I think its a poor league with the majority of teams at a poor standard. If Dave does go then the very least I expect is a younger more vibrant manager who likes the attacking football. Karanka is not that man. Saying that he did get them promoted......
Karanka played more negative football at the Boro than our Dave does, a definate NO from me. Who the young exciting manager might be then I've no idea as the guy at Bournemouth would fit the bill exactly and there's no way he'd come too us.
I know Ellis Short doesn't have much idea how to run a football club, but surely he isn't stupid enough to bring in a manager that has already tried and failed to replace Moyes?
If Reading don't win promotion through to the play offs I would suggest Jaap Stam otherwise Paul Heckingbottom of Barnsley would get you organised and picking up points next year and he likes to drill set pieces quite a bit in training also.
May not be a bad thing for you. Whilst at Everton he pulled the likes of Tim Cahill and Phil Jagielka out of the championship so he knows how to pick the right players from the lower leagues.
