Long has similar stats to N'Gog and only leapt in the last year at the age of 24, an age many, such as Lucas, tend to do. I've counselled enough on the same possibility for N'Gog.

I don't know how often Long was sub but I'm guessing he got more games.

This team is being controlled by the same man that plumpeted Liverpool down the table to 12th and gave us our worst start for god knows how many years.

This same manager signed Shane Long and has utilised Peter Odemwingie so well since coming into the team. He also drove West Brom to 11th last season.

Conclusion:
Roy Hodgson a good manager for 'lower' clubs (No offense intended to club/supporters/Hodgson).

Meh. United seem to usually get a last-minute goal... West Brom just need to keep shooting and maybe catch out De Gea. The lad doesn't seem too confident when somebody shoots from outside the box.

One game in and a mini injury crisis at the back for United... Could be an issue if De Gea is still looking slighty dodgy.

 

Yea, but Ngog has also had the benefit of better players around him. I've watched Long and Ngog, and without the aid of stats I feel Long is just a better player. Ngog needs game time if he's going to improve, and he's not going to get it here.

 

Young tried to drop it to the penalty spot from the touch line, deflected off one defender then another into the back post. Really lucky goal.

I know i missed the 3 goals and it'll probably finish 2-1.

Yeah to be honest Barca are lucky to be winning, they have a weakened midfield and it's showing.

 

Does anybody else want to do match threads for this season? Ze Liverbird has said he is happy for me to have a go doing them but I thought I shall ask the other members of this forum to see if you lot want to have a go doing them.
