I've been so transfixed at looking over our shoulders at Swansea, I haven't really been looking at the teams in front of us. Initially on Saturday I was p****d off that Burnley had beaten Palace, I was a bit blinded by wanting to draw Burnley into the mix - but I hadn't paid much attention to Palace's run in. They play us - in between trips to both Manc clubs away.

I know neither of those clubs did us any favours yesterday - but as a rule, you'd have to tip United and City as favourites. Should we beat Sunderland at home - winning at Palace could put them into trouble.

Obviously we're all nervous - but given the results City and Swansea have been getting, I think if I were a Palace fan right now, with these fixtures coming up, I'd be worried.

    What do you think -

I agree, but Palace keep defying the odds.
It would be great to see Fat Sam's face if they went down though.

Saturday's results are crucial. If we win and they lose it really cranks up the importance of the game between us and the pressure will really be on them after appearing 'safe' a fortnight ago. If we fail to win they will be safe regardless. They just annoyingly keep pulling results out of the bag against the top sides which casts doubt over whether they can be dragged back in or not. However, both Manc clubs both can't afford any slip ups if they want the top 4 so should provide more of a test than a faltering Arsenal and inconsistent Liverpool. Think their defensive injuries (Dann, Tomkins and Sakho) have halted their form somewhat. I know Sakho had a bad injury but does anyone know how long Dann and Tomkins are out for?

It is a bit strange as only this time last week people where saying they could finish top half , if us and Swansea both win Saturday they may get twitchy , I think they will have enough , probably against us unfortunately

I hope to god that they beat Man City then they'll be safe and hopefully switch off the following week against us.

If we beat Sunderland and Swansea fail to win, then a win at Palace would secure us PL football

It's going to the final day and probably the final minutes of the season.

Southampton on Saturday showed what being on the beach means to a well organised team. I'd be happy for them to still be worried going into that game. I'm far more worried about a pressure free-Sunderland coming on Saturday.

Keeping Palace in the mix increases our chance of staying up IMO.

If it must go to the last day - I'd rather it not rest purely on one other match.

Everton must surely be looking to bounce back from their 3-0 defeat at Chelsea.

the last thing we want is them just coming off a win against one of the manc sides.

Sorry but I just don't see Palace being in the dog fight. They're 6 ahead of Swansea and 4 ahead of us with a better goal difference. If we managed to beat them, they'd be in it, but they seem to be pulling rabbits out of the hat and I fancy them to have one more. I reckon if we get another 4 points it should be enough, but we have to pile the pressure on Swansea. I can't see it not going to the final day now though and by god do I hope that West Brom actually turn up.

So many twists and turns it is hard to predict , I honestly don't think you could wish for 2 better final fixtures than what Swansea have , Sunderland are terrible and west brom will be in their flip flops , so I can see Swansea finishing in at least 38... That's why I think it's crucial they don't pick up anything against Everton

West Brom have lost their last 4, if they lose their next 4, I bet Pulis would be sacked

The burnley game was a game too far for palace is all. We've seen how **** the manc clubs are after a bruising game a few days earlier. It takes it out of players so much.
Palace will stay up even if they lose their next three.

If we beat Sunderland and Swansea lose to Everton . Us and palace could play out one of those dodgy draws .

I can spoil it for you all if you want? I already know the outcome...

You won't believe there's going to be an Alien Invasion at the Sunderland/Swansea game... I've already said too much.

Why. He's done a great job as usual. It's the players who aren't motivated not him.

They've got ambitious owners who want to push on further up the table. All Pulis' sides seem to stop at 40 points, and it's starting to become a scary habit. I'd want a gaffer with more ambition.

We should take our own cheerleaders to Palace. That'd show 'em.
