Gabriel doesn't get the ball so it's a pen ... but the slo mo proves that Harrold drags his leg into Gabriel's purposefully and then somewhat exaggerates the effect of that impact ...not a problem for me ...we have a lad that is a past master at it ...still a pen because the defender doesn't get the ball and therefore disadvantages the scoring opportunity as a result :)

I'd be furious at whatever defender was stupid enough to kick the opposition forward. Crap defending. Clear penalty.

Kane's leg goes up in into Gabriel after he's fouled. The initial contact is clearly a penalty, though.

I was asking about Vardy. You have avoided referring to my question about him which suggests to me you know he'd be getting called a cheat in a similar situation (even if not by you personally)

Can you give an example of when Vardy's been in a similar situation and been called a diver?

Every time Vardy gets a penalty he gets called a diver and a cheat. I can't remember one where he hasn't tbh

Can you give one specific example of when he's been falsely accused of diving?

Arsenal away last season when Monreal stuck his leg in. People still accused him of cheating and playing for it because it's Vardy

That's because Monreal doesn't actually make contact when he sticks his leg out.
It's a penalty, as Vardy can't really avoid him and he clearly obstructs him, but it's not the same situation.
Most people thought it was a penalty.

This article refers to the one v Bournemouth. Last man and he was tripped and still called a cheat. The whole article says it

The whole point was, if that was Vardy yesterday, he'd be accused of cheating. Nobody seems to be denying that

Vardy was called a cheat because he is a cheat. He may not have been in that particular situation, but he dives all the time.
He normally gets away with it and gets the call, though.
Some random journalist pointing that out isn't a witch hunt.

People are calling Kane a diver for that one yesterday when it's a clear penalty.
    Not like this, for example:

Vardy is one of the biggest cheats the prem has seen and is a cynical scumbag to boot. Did his best to get Ranieri sacked and should be reviled by true Leicester fans

    They didn't.

Most people called him a diver.

Thierry Henry and Jamie Carragher both said it was a penalty at the time.
    He is a diver.

I think that Alli cheated against Swansea. I don't want to see him do that again.
He doesn't persistently dive like Vardy does, but it's still not good enough.

Oh right and Henry and Carragher account for everyone do they?

He isn't a diver <laugh> If you think he is then you must think the same of Harry Kane?

You've merely claimed that people didn't think it was a penalty, while I've given examples of pundits saying the opposite.
My memory is that the general consensus was that it was a stupid tackle by Monreal and the correct decision.
Feel free to prove me wrong, though.

Vardy dives a lot. Kane doesn't.
The comparison's stupid, but then you take any and every opportunity to have a dig at him, so it's expected.
Find an example of a clear Kane dive. There are many for Vardy, so it should be really easy, shouldn't it?
