Bit risky to come into a club and change everything....especially when the club is successful. Understandable when Leihberr came in and we needed a complete overhaul, but can't see that happening here. I'd question the new owner's sanity if he did that.
I have had to cancel a holiday, so was afraid the summer would be boring. Glad I have something to look forward to.
A lot of the Chinese owned Midland clubs changed managers when they were taken over...just look at the disaster at Birmingham. The one notable exception is WBA where absolutely nothing has changed other than ownership up to now but according to some Baggies ST holders that's because the Chinese owners spent all their money on buying the club and haven't got enough to splash out on a new management team and new players
I wouldn't be opposed to letting Jay and Shane leave this summer if it meant investment in a new striker. Such as Dembele for instance.
The problem of our strikeforce was plain on saturday, looking for a goal and the only options Puel has is long with 3 goals in 30 games, and JRod with 2 goals in 17 games
Puel mentioned alternative striking options in that Long article. Although Long has a great leap on him, he doesn't offer that physical presence. Indeed aside from Austin we don't really have that target man option. Gallagher may come in next season, but that might be an option we look at.
