I had to look it up. I didnt realise Upper 3 4 5 were Zone 4!! I wouldnt have paid that to sit up there.
Upper West was zone 2 or 4 depending where they were sat. Perhaps they are only allowing families to move into the South Stand?
In response to that earlier tweet... easthulltiger @easthulltiger66 lucky he got through took me 15 attempts to move to north stand. We really are poor at this stuff. Junior bought tickets for Southampton on my corporate membership, got no confirmation email and when he kept calling the two numbers for corporate members nobody answered. In the end he emailed and they said the application had gone into the spam file and it hadn't been processed. They subsequently sent him the tickets, but if he hadn't managed to get hold of anyone, he would have ended up with no tickets.
My parents would pay double if they could keep their seats on the front row of Upper 5, they're some of the best seats in the house. They got offered some crap seats in the NW corner as an alternative, needless to say they won't be renewing.
Definitely each to their own. Some people like being that high up and having that view of where everyone is. It's not for me either, I'd rather be closer. Always liked the spot where I used to sit on Row G even though you can't see the far touchline from there so sometimes have to rely on other people's reactions to know if the ball has gone out or not. Sort of off topic but I managed to get the girlfriend into going to non-league football for a bit. She isn't interested in the pro game but really enjoyed it at that level because you were so close to the action. Let's be honest, the best view of the game is through the TV, but you can't beat being there and that's nothing to do with the view.
Two totally different experiences (sorry). I enjoy being a part of the crowd, but I also enjoyed watching the game unfold from up in the stands. I found the same when going to the races, watching from a box or in the upper stands, was nothing compared to being stood on the rails as the field gallops past.
Can't beat it when Harry or whoever runs towards ya when we score! You do feel part of the team when they're right up against the crowd celebrating! NW corner we do get a lot of celebrations there!
Tried to get a couple of tickets online for Sunderland game for myself junior, the website is even worse for ordering than it used to be, can't see where you are getting the seats apart from the block, no guarantee they are together , another sale lost
Really? Honest guv I've never had a problem booking them. You can see where you want them too. Is this cos I'm a membership holder though??
You can choose your seats on the laptop version of the website.but not on your phone.dont know why but that's what they told me
Using a laptop to try & book (last night) - same system & login when I've been a 'member' & not ... all very windows 95 like the turnstiles ...
That is fact. I tried recently and remembered you only get 'best available' or something like that on your phone so you can't choose the actual seats (it's very complicated though, no other places manage it either )
