Great save - I wasn't convinced by the penalty through, it looked a real "six and two threes" and I thought the Southampton player actually made the challenge.
The penalty was a joke. The same scuffles happen at every corner, but penalties are hardly ever given. Jak's save was merely justice served. Tell you what, too - most penalty saves are the result of a poor penalty, usually not struck wide enough or with enough power, but there wasn't a great deal wrong with this one. I've seen worse ones go in. It was a ****ing brilliant save by Jak. The lad just might have kept us up.
Could be a vital point Well deserved too. Better side first half, but they came back into it later Jak...........what a man !
Might be greedy but if they win by 3 and we're 3 clear with a better gd. I'll take any win right now.
Before the game I'd have been thrilled if we got a point from it but now I feel that we missed the opportunity to take all three. It was a daft penalty to give away especially as the weasel faced **** only needed the slightest suggestion of a foul to award it but what a great save by Jak. If Manure stuff Swansea tomorrow, I think we have a great chance to survive. Here's hoping!
So happy, so @@@@ing happy!! Well done to all but I'm going to say it, why do we always have to do it the City way??? Aaarrgghh, please next time a nice 0-0 boring fest with no excitement!!
Looked a penalty on the replay. N'Daiye fell but he made sure he dragged the Saints player down with him. Thought Mike Dean had a very good game too. No complaints.
I agree. Dean had a good game. Dean has also consistently given penalties for that sort of grappling all season. He did it the first two weekends and it was profiled on all the highlight programmes as it was something the referees said they were looking at this season.
Maybe it was, technically. The point I'm making is that refs could award a penalty for the same kind of thing at half a dozen corners every game, but never do. There's no wonder players commit these fouls, cos nobody ever gets punished for them.
