going to be nothing but a regular 3-1 loss we will go 1 down probably equalise.. play some good stuff and then lose horrible 3-1 and then we pray swansea lose to manure just like every other ****ing away game gabbiadini will tear us apart and i still think a point is useless.. anything but a win is useless swansea will beat everton, sunderland and west brom imho but for us this is just a pray swansea lose heavily weekend.. as per usual maguire is over rated as is our defence
Think we'll be served a reality check today. Could do with 2 strikers on to give our counters more of an outlet, but we won't see that. I think we'll look stilted and our possession will keep breaking down with 1 up top and I think we'll slip behind as a result. We either need to start with Hernandez and Niasse together or alternatively our wingers and CMs need to have a worldy.
I'd go with this, but I think Marco will want to start with one striker and switch things around second half, maybe Huddlestone to start ahead of one of the front two? Edit: Just realised this what Chazz suggested in the OP.
Totally disagree, there are questions being asked in the media about Forster in goal, the number of goals conceded is of concern. Is it him or the defence to blame? My prediction is ... 1:1 My hope is ... 0:1 My fear is ... 3:0
How is a point useless? If we can get a point and Swansea lose heavily we're in a really good position being 3 points ahead and hopefully on a better goal difference.
Quite telling that the comments from Saints fans on that Twitter link aren't very positive. "Only score 1 at home on average" for example. Think we have more of a chance than most give us credit for. 1-2 Niasse and Grosicki today.
The fact that we've only picked up 5 points all season away, a draw today would be an outstanding result.
Not sure how to feel about today. I felt like we could turn things around at Stoke and this seems like a very similar type of game: a team in midtable but at a ground we seldom do well at. However, the way we ended the match last week and then seeing Niasse's red card overturned has hopefully given us a boost. That sort of determination from the 2nd half last week will be good enough for at least a point and hopefully those fans travelling down will have something to savour. We just can't afford another slow start and be gifting soft goals. Hopefully last week's clean sheet will help add to our belief.
I think I saw that we haven't won away at Southampton since 1951 I can't see that changing I'd be very happy with a point
