Is there a more biased commentator? All the Stoke penalty apeals aren't penaltys, yet Lampard is barely touched and is already diving to the floor before the contact and Wilkins is calling for penalty and the foul on Torres outside the box is a penalty in the eyes of Wilkins aswell. If your going to commentary on games atleast be impartial. There where 2 incidents in the first half that should have been Stoke penalties, Terry handball, and Terry pulling down Shawcross, yet there apparently not penalties. They barely even mentioned Terry pulling down Shawcross in the box

Sticking up for Torres too much also, it's like encouraging the little fat kid who's ****e at football telling him well done..well done. He only turned a player and got fouled.

No penkers for either side for me, you can't give handball for that and Lampard was on his way down already. Shawcross pulled Terry down and has been constantly fouling all game IMHO. You have played quite well in general though and deserve your point.

Been a fairly boring opening weekend in all really.

If it had been Nani at O/T it would have been given. Personally I thought the ref got it right, there was contact but not enough to deny him a goalscoring opportunity.

Thought Halsey did really well, and to be fair to Wilkins he acknowleged what a really tough job it is to referee all the incidents that go on in the penalty box. Great point for us in the end.

Personally anyone who commentates on a match with a team that they were once involved with, should not commentate on said match.

Some you get, some you don't. WHAT did anoy me was the fact that J.T.and his merry men, can STILL surround the ref shouting for a penaly. I thought the F.A. were
clamping down on that? And, anyone else see how many times the chelsea player's would take a free kick from the wrong place and, also when the ball is moving. I have a lot of respect for Mark Halsey but today, he let to many things go unpunished.

off topic, WHY does Torres Start ahead of Drogba I'm so glad he didn't.

Rant over... a fantastic pt for the Potter's and I would have taken that before kick off! Seen as Utd have a dodgy keeper, I think Chelsea have a good chance of winning the Leaue.

Not one point that the players surrounded the referee arguing a decision, there was just the player who committed/was on the end of a foul that would contest it and he would wave them away. As for taking the free-kicks from the correct place, it is up to the officials to enforce that.

Anyway well done for the point, you beat us in the air with all the high balls when we attacked. I found that neither team wanted to lose their first game of the season. I think Torres is starting as he has six years on Drogba who is likely playing his penultimate season for us, meaning that we need the former get used to playing with us and find his form. Although Drogba would have done better against your physical side.

    Exactly
WHY didn't Mark Halsey stop chelsea from doing that, taking free kicks from the wrong place? point taken Yurilly!
And, Drogba has always caused us problems which is why I was asking the question.

Good luck for the season <ok>

Terry as per usual was moaning at the ref constantly, he was getting upset because Shawcross was physically superior, and he wasn't being allowed any space when he came forward for set pieces. If I were the ref I'd just book JT for desent every time he opens his foul mouth. He had been given the benefit of the doubt by the ref with the 2 first half penalty apeals against him, yet he still shows no respect to the officials, the man is an embarresment to English football, and I feel ashamed when I see him captaining the England team

Come on lad don't be naive, all defenders mouth off and hold people, did you see the United game? I can understand you don't like JT but don't be so blind as to state no one else is doing the same thing.

Yes alot of players mouth off, but I don't see how that makes Terry's antics excusable, every week he argues with the ref, disputing pretty much every 50/50 decision, he is without doubt one of the worst in the league for it. Yes I did see most of the Man Utd game, apart from the start of the second half. I don't see what your obsession with Man Utd is, is it because your still upset that they outplayed Chelsea last season? Who knows. Twice you've posted and twice your on about Man Utd, get a grip and concentrate on your own side.

Man Utd obviously have a few players, Rooney in particular, who like to run there mouths at officials, I'm not a fan of his either. But Terry is still by far the most consistent, every time there's a 50/50 decision that goes against Chelsea he's there running his foul mouth:biggrin:

I personally feel that if that was United in the same situation they would have got at least one of those penalties. Call it bitter or whatever you like just my opinion, we saw a clear pen not given at Arsenal as well.

I personally felt the Lampard one would have been soft but it was still a pen, but for me the most blatant ones were the two fouls on Torres

Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea have all had major decisions go against them this week which have affected the result.

Terry's for me wasn't even an appeal as it clearly hit his chest.

Stoke did well to get a draw but for me we deserved to win

Since when have I said I'm a Man Utd supporter? I follow football because i enjoy having a flutter on it, I'm not realy a fan of any particular club. My favourite sport is Horse racing always has been always will.

I have no bitterness towards the Terry/Rio thing, why would I? If it was down to me id make Lampard captain, he may not be as technically gifted as a Gasgoine or a Scholes but he is a very dedicated player, and seems to be a model professional, much like David Beckham was.

I just don't see why a total idiot like John Terry is aloud to captain the England side, this is the same John Terry who publicly laughed at 9/11, and had an affair with a club and country's team mates wife, that is the sort of manJohn Terry is. Even the most biased of Chelsea fan's must agree that John Terry is not a role model to the youth of today, and that's what the top footballers nowadays are, particularly England captains. I could hardly imagine Bobby Moore laughing at a terrorist attack like 9/11, but that's the sort of scum bag John Terry is.

Should that surprise any of us though? John Terry's mum is a convicted shop lifter, whilst his dads a drug dealer, and it gets even better, his older footballing brother was also having an affair with a fellow team mates wife. So is it any surprise that John Terry has turned out the way he has, with role models like that, and this is our Englsnd Captain were talking Of here, oh dear, oh dear, Bobby Moore would be turning in his grave
