DOING FINE 5/1 in the Whitbread, get stuck in. Shame Fehily cannot do the weight but his loss is Tom Scu's gain.
Amazing prize money on offer at Auteuil - the poorest race on the card pays €30240 to the winner, with the Grade 2 feature chase paying €138601. Puts Sandown's prize money well in the shade.
3.50 Punchestown KARALEE 10/3 Been waiting all week to see if he'd run her in this and he is. Says plenty when I'm opposing Augusta Kate, this is my best bet of the week. Wins.
bloody hell beefy, I should hope its your bet of the week, just had a look at the threads, looks like youve done your brains on multiple short priced animals, apart from a couple of thinly veiled aftertimes
This weeks Scoop 6/Ew Lucky 63: 1:30 Haydock - Chiswick Bey 9/1 1:50 Sandown - Landin 10/1 2:40 Haydock - Zoravan 10/1 3:35 Sandown - Rock The Kasbah 11/1 4:45 Sandown - Poker School 6/1 5:20 Sandown - Silverhow 9/1
Probably should have aftertimed this one too, not a bad week at all Thanks for taking the time out and liking all my posts by the way
I dont know why but I was hoping to get through Punchestown with a winning headline selection each day. Feel slightly aggrieved not to be going for the clean sweep tomorrow. My arrers as follows; MTADA SUPREME BLESS THE WINGS APPLES JADE MEGA FORTUNE SANDYMOUNT DUKE OPEN EAGLE THE SHEARERS WIFE CHAPTER SEVEN Headline would have been, its make a MEGA FORTUNE day!
Ballyboker Bridge Tulsa Jack Apples Jade LandOfHopeAndGlory Sandymount Duke Vocarium Chapter Seven. Think even money for Home of the Brave is rather generous. Calder Prince.2.40 Haydock worth punting e/w at 9/1.
Good morning guys, doing my 53 mile ultra today! Anybody spare a sheckle or two for charity? Its for ongoing stem cell research into MND in memory of Sticks friend Alie Tilley. http://www.aaa.uk.com/ then click on the link for Virgin Money. Cmon who hasnt had a bumper winner from Sir Stick recently?????? CheersI do this dance when I cross the line!!!
Still not betting but if I were I would be looking at singles and a double on The New One and Shantou Village
2:40 Calder Prince I've started looking at racing using a different focus and this one popped up. He has been in Meydan and running down the field but returns to U.K. racing in a race that looks perfect for him. He won a 3 YO handicap over course and distance last year, and whilst that was on softer ground, I think he is entitled to run very well again today. He was gelded over the winter, and is below the mark he won off last year. The pace in the race should allow him to sit prominently and I expect he can run in some of the big handicaps over 7 furlongs this season. Dark Angels on good to firm ground have strike rate of 12% which is better than on ground with cut.
Hello, pilgrims. Today isn’t really about the horses it’s about seeing the forum’s favourite trainer, its inspiration, its idol, its pin-up, its very raison d’etre, Mr Henderson, crowned Champion. Thank you, Mr Henderson, for another term of brilliance. No one can compare to you and you will be a worthy Champion. Where there is discord Mr Henderson brings harmony. Wherethere is error, he brings truth. Where there is doubt, Mr Henderson brings faith. And where there is despair, he brings hope. I’m sure that there won’t be a dry eye on the forum later on this afternoon when Mr Henderson lifts it above his head so that everyone, at Sandown Park, can see his prize. For the compulsives though I will recommend a couple. At the above mentioned Sandown Park BROTHER TEDD (4.45) seems to have been underestimated by those bookie chappies and 11/1 is available. Gets in this novice chase off 133 which looks most appealing when you consider he had a peak perching over hurdles of 155. Although he was only 3rd of 4 last time I think that was a fair effort from Brother Tedd as he was only beaten 2.5 lengths and the horse he beat 14 lengths, into 4th, in that affair, obliged at Chepstow recently off 128. Is also 1/1 at the course (when winning on this very day 2 terms ago). Meanwhile, this evening at Wolverhampton it’s great to see GIBBS HILL (7.50) back on the old track. He hasn’t run since winning on Eclipse day last year but was a most progressive 3YO running well in 3 maidens before taking that Sandown Park handicap off 79. Now perched on 85 I think Gibbs Hill will prove much better than that this term and I wouldn’t be that surprised by ‘stumps’ to see him competing at Listed/Group level. Good luck all.
Last day for us jumps fans to try to sign off with a couple of winners as the mundane flat season kicks in! 3.10-White Arm win 5/1-Cracking run lto at Fairy and still running off a lovely weight-One of the few success stories for gangsta Martin this season and can go in again. 4.25-Fancy Mega Fortune to come out on top and hold of Bapaume again and give Elliot a much needed win to fend off king Willie
AUGUSTA KATE MEGA FORTUNE Double before I retreat into my shell for Summer. Will no doubt pop on and put up what other antepost nags I've thrown my money on Good luck and good health over the coming months!!
Seems a little odd that Novalis, an unbeaten horse (ie not gelded) has come over from somewhere to run in the Bet365 Handicap Hurdle, receiving weight from all bar 4 and is 16/1. That'll do me for a little ew tickle.
Having fancied Augusta Kate at Cheltenham and got let down she won impressively at Aintree and will probably go close again today but I can't desert one of my favourites Apples Jade. However, given the competition (inc Karalee) her price is far too short so it's a watch race for me. As is that cracking race at Sandown where Altior goes off fav against the CH Chase winner. Was amazed at the ground Benbens made up last time out and immediately was drawn to him today at 20/1 but maybe that was his race; it must have taken a lot out of him finishing like the proverbial express train. All set for the big fight tonight. And don't miss on the under card Josh Kelly in his second (I think) fight as a pro. He looks the part
Squeeze this one in 1:30 Haydock, Someone Exciting (badly hampered last time out)................. (Disappointing, but I'm used to that! Not a favourite of mine, but can't blame Ginger here. Won't give up on her, however, drop back to 7f on synthetic might be better).
