Soooo.... utd lose their main offensive weapon perhaps for the season after his antics.. has to be more than 3 games this.

Utd played for and got 0-0 and mourinho applauded every aimless hoof that went out over sideline or not withing 20 yards of a forward. He made a point of showing he was happy with it.

Utds issue now is they have 2 more away games where this attitude might surface again and these are around their europa sf too. Arsenal and spurs...

The interesting thing is this utd side should and i say should tonk swansea at home. But without the head the balls they need to rely on actual skill... so if swansea pull the same ****e on utd as utd pulled here it could be 0-0

All that said lfc are not winning 4 games anyway so lfc need utd to lose to swansea

 

I suppose Spurs should have given up on the title weeks ago too!

 

The marathon is nearing the final mile and the runners are exhausted, tiring and stumbling as they see the finishing line. With the team we've got would they rise to the challenge of being overtaken at the weekend by the mancs (both red and blue). We never know our players might surprise us with some resilience and desire.

This is where we need the "adult " football that Klopp was talking about. Just focus on the three points as nothing else matters.

 

They probably did but they're a good side who just win regardless.

 

Their run will come to an end soon once the chavs have mathematically won the thing. Just like last year, they collapsed when it was all over

 

Spurs win 2 more matches and they cannot be overtaken . So you wonder what motivation they would have in beating the mancs. None I would think

Hourly the chavs drop some points to keep Tottenham at it for those 2 big games

 

Of course Arsenal have as huge a task as the mancs to get top 4. IMO we are still favourites to get that 4th place(forget 3rd) IF we beat Watford

 

If we can get past watford however we do that... any result will do then IMO if we are looking at both manc clubs ****ing up this weeknd THEN we might be favorites

in my mind we are now looking at utd needed to lose one and draw one MINIMUM out of 5 for us to get 4th.

Its now 4 games starting at 66 = 78 max.
City have 5 games to go starting at 65 = 80max
Utd have 5 to go, starting at 64 = 79max
Arsneal have 6 to go starting at 60 = 78 max.

As utd play two top 6 teams and arsneal also do this.. this is where the favorites stuff comes from. 2 more draws for utd = 3 wins 2 draws = 11 points = 75 points.

We need to win 3 and draw 1 to match that... hummmmm....

in short if you start paring back what the others can get say take off 2 points for one draw... city = 78, utd= 77, arsenal = 76.

It then becomes obvious LFC NEED to win 4 games. And evn if we start that by beating watford the current LFC squad would be questioned in ability to beat southampton or west ham

IMO we need the makes to at least draw 2 = we need to win 3 and draw 1 which is stil la big ask so we simply MUST beat watford.

I agree it will be a big setback not to get CL...there was no reason not to this season. If we go on to lose out because of performances against bottom 10 teams it'll be a disgrace.

But...still hopeful we can scrape through.

 

Agree. Everything rests on the Watford match...for now

Let's give up lads. We drop points against dross throughout the season - it won't change now.

We'll probably get EL next season so at least we'll spend money to improve squad size.

Considering that we were challenging for the title only a few months ago, and many here (including me) had already considered top 4 completely in the bag, this would be a huge setback.

Last nights draw was probably the worst result for you, as it leaves both Manc clubs with their fate in their own hands for a top 4 finish.

You've got to win on Monday night or you could fall at the final hurdle here.

I have thought city were always favorites for 3rd so that draw WOULD HAVE enabled 3rd for us but its gone now

I thought a win for city was best result, followed by draw being good. A utd win was absolutely worst result a city are goign to win all their games anyway and be ahead of us

IMO we need utd to draw at least 2 out of 5 for us to not fall. the first step is monday and we must win but the last 3 are by no means even expect to win games.

If we were talking in october say... a draw v west ham or southampton would not be terrible but now its the sharp end and we have to win them all.

the draw has lessened both manc clubs ability to absorb a **** up.

We can but hope both screw the pooch this weekend but i'd say thats about a 100/1 shot.

LFC are assured of europa due to utd winning EFL and the cup finalists.

Its all about utd's run and ability to keep going with injuries and games to play in next month.

they could easily get 5th and win europa but are just being spiteful manc ****s by making us work for 4th

 

Draw is great for ourselves. Spurs haven't lost a home game all season so if Man u go to draw that still benefits us.

 

Can't see united getting more than 2 points from Spurs and arsenal.
