Yep - Gazzaniga, Isgrove, Taylor, Martina, Gardos, Caceres and to a lesser extent Clasie and JRod will all leave in the summer, I think.
If we're looking at signing another CDM, then it's probably the end of the road for him here, I'd think.
http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/prem...lle/spielerposition_id/alle/altersklasse/alle List of players whose contracts are due to expire at the end of the season in the premier league. Martin Caceres Cuco Martina Stuart Taylor Lloyd Isgrove The saints players on the list Not expecting any of them to get a last minute extension
I too would keep Clasie especially if we can get another specialist DCM to allow him more freedom. I would definitely let JRod go as he is obviously very unhappy with things and we can get a decent fee for him. Add Gallagher who appears in demand and sadly McCathy is out of contract in June who I would like to see back at SMS after another successful loan spell at Walsall. One contentious suggestion for moving on ....Boufal. Hasn't developed or adapted at all, no doubt a big earner and adding nothing to the squad from where I am sat and is blocking the development of Sims
Jay Rod, Gardos, Caceres, Martina, Taylor, Isgrove, Hassen to go. Maybe even add Long to that list personally. Don't think he adds enough to the team but would still be worth a little bit if we sold. With Austin and Gabbiadini I think we'd only need one other striker and I don't rate Long massively.
As our record signing (until certain add-ons are met with Gab) I think selling him would be a bad move. The guy had no pre-season and was constantly playing catch up. Give him a whole pre-season under Puel and we may just see a sensational player next year.
Boufal? No way. Give him a bloody chance. Injuries have disrupted his season and it takes time to adapt to the PL. I am confident he will become a really good player for us.
He clearly has the ability to become a brilliant player. i don;t think anyone can question his skill. All he needs to do is to learn how and when to apply that ability in the premier league to become a great player. With the amount we paid for him and presumably pay him i doubt anyone will buy him, so i think he will be with us for a while and i have no doubt he will improve in that time and become a very good player. unless he headbutts someone.
I am stunned. Got a bad knee injury in April/May, couldn't train again until October so missed pre-season and then was thrown into a new league that is miles quicker than he's used to. I am stunned DL that you would consider this. Any footballer needs to have a pre-season. Way too dismissive of a huge talent. Yes he has been frustrating but that's understandable. We have to give him at least until Christmas with a good ore-season under his belt. I wonder how many Liverpool fans thought Lallana was worth getting rid of after his first season (when we all laughed because he was useless) and if they'd get rid now? He missed that first pre-season.
I'm not stunned that Dark Lord should think it, but I think he should get another season. A bit too soon to judge.
