What is the point in going and doing your knitting? They should all just stay at home and watch it on TV if they have an issue with noise.

Well that's disappointing! Our ground isn't very good acoustically, sound doesn't seem to travel too well.

View from new seat, pretty bad quality though. Was surprised at the **** attendance as well.

Attendance surprised me but still holiday season but some fans might have walked after seeing how we are doing in the transfer market.

Thought the ground was very flat yesterday.

People who are on holiday who have season tickets can give it to mates. And surely there are 5000 others who could've came to see one of the best teams in the league. Our home support is getting ****ter year after year. Blame Ashley for ruining the atmosphere though.

Moved from the leazes now in the South East row Q which is a good 5 rows from the back , 5 of us in a row and got told to sit by a regular behind and we outright refused to sit and we stood the full game so the blokes behind had to stand aswell ! We'll stand this season and they can go elsewhere next season if they dont like it its simple , We made a canny bit of noise to be honest like.

<laugh> It was just me vs him, he didn't have a problem with the others and I couldn't be bothered to argue so I just moved. Will try it again next game though, but the stewards will have a ****ing fit again.

There is huge unrest. People singing 'The Leazes' followed by 'The Corner'. Some fans saying they don't want to stand, and with them being behind, they have more rights than us.

I simply can't sit down, I am 6ft 2 and Tom will tell you that if I had sat down properly, my knees would be in the back of the person in front. Leg room is shocking. My mate sits right behind me so I just sat on the top of the seat.

As long as we sing I'm not too bothered.

    True!

Just my luck that I get stuck behind some grumpy old git who never opens his gob unless he's telling me to sit down. Stewards will always win 10/10 if there's only our lot standing up in the lower sections (which there was).

I knew this would happen.. So gutted. I was in the Gallowgate upper corner near the so called Strawberry corner. The atmosphere was ok and there was a decent amount of singing but it wasn't as loud as I'd hoped.

I don't know if any of you watched the Stoke game but that sounded bloody loud.

The whole Gallowgate end needs to unite and standing needs to become universal. But before that happens the atmosphere will remain subdued.

    Pity...

I'm 6ft 2 as well, sitting in the SJH stand is a mare . My legs and knees were aching for ages after due to being pressed up against the seat in front.

It's horrible. Very uncomfortable. I will push for a move to the back next year.

Will NEVER in a million years become majority standing as too many tourists, kids and old people sit in that stand and refuse to take part. Does my head in cause looking at the shere steepness and vastness of it, it would be a pure wall of noise that would frighten any team!

Someone needs to start some sort of campaign, gotta get the gallowgate back to what it use to be.

People don't like it, they can piss off to another part of the stadium.

Thing is people who've paid £500 or whatever for a season ticket can't move until the end of the season :\

    Yep, you on now?

I loved standing in terraces but as usual the Scousers ruined it for eveyone.

Sorry keep posting on your board today. Our game being cancelled has killed our board :(

One of the problems with the Gallowgate is the roof. Instead of being covered under the roof with some sort of ceiling, like the Kop at Liverpool, all the noise dissipate into the empty roof, hardly any of the noise gets out onto the pitch. My brother used to sit in the Gallowgate and used to say there was loads of noise, but I could never hear it in Level 7. The same problem with the rest of the ground really, different heights of stands, and nothing to bounce off, the noise just disappears into the ether.
