Brill,had a day on beach,swimming and all,probably hit 20 degrees.She not mad on sun but stuck it out on beds for full day and didn't get burned,like Irish summer.We stayed in an apartment on Rue Bottero off Gambetta,brilliant but made a mistake and booked last 2 nights in Le Negresso for a treat,shouldn't have bothered me bollox,waste of money.The whole promenade is dug up,now whether they were going to do that anyway or after last year don't know,part that truck went into is boarded off so maybe a memorial.Went up to Saint-Paul-de-Vence on the bus €1.50 fs had a good few and lunch,she lit a candle for both our mothers in the church(Good Friday),was moving or I was half cut but nevertheless lovely trip.

I remember years ago when I lived in Roquebrune, just the other side of Monaco and I was out in Nice and I tried to get a room in the Negresco,(even with the daft black statues outside it), I had maybe won 2k in the casino and I tried to get the room at 2am and they still told me no! Haha

 

To be fair, I was possibly slightly crazier in those days

 

How much did you pay a night at the Negressco, out of interest?

 

I booked the holiday in December(teacher and Easter hols,her ie) and then Aer Lingus cancelled the flights and ended up with 5.55 flight out and 10.15 return,so didn't even have breakfast in the place but no matter I do like the place and casino every night,machines though and not just me!

 

€577 for the 2 nights with no grub,€12 for a bottle of Heineken(330ml)

 

You should watch Made in Chelsea M80. I got proper addicted to series one and two. It wore off a bit after that, there's only so much watching honking poshos making ****s of themselves that anyone can stand really, but birds with names like Binkie and Caggie braying at each other in wine bars held a fascination for a while.

 

I think I've actually watched an episode of that before, but I was put off by it because the bird I watched it with actually thought it was real. Stupid cow.
