You're right, he is known to be a hot head and will have to curb that part of his personality, I thought he did well yesterday to ignore some rough treatment.
Nani?? I thought he was still the worst in the league for it to be honest! Especially last season when he collapsed in tears in front of the ref to get Carra sent off. Now that was embarrassing to watch, even for a Liverpool fan.
I agree the way he rolled around was embarrassing, but his reaction still doesn't change the fact that Carragher should of walked for a reckless challenge, if it was someone like Scholes I think he would of seen red (just like the City game for the challenge on Zabaleta) and rival fans would of been calling for him to be given an extended ban for being nothing more than a thug.
Other than that one game I can't think of any other example of him whining to the ref last season. I actually remember a few occasions (including against Chelsea) when he could have dived or tried to get another player sent off but opted to keep going instead. And of course the Carragher challenge actually did injure him, so he didn't have the option to just shrug it off and carry on playing. I'd have hoped if Carragher hadn't split his shin open he'd have just got up, taken the free kick and gotten on with it. After all, Nani didn't actually go after the ref until after he'd seen the ref had only produced a yellow card for a blatant red card offence.
That may be, but are you saying you wouldn't want him in a real red shirt? I know I would. Maradona commited an even more heinous crime in using his hand to score against England. I'd have still accepted him at United should that have happened.
Exactly - he didn't go after the ref until a yellow card was produced. Then he went after the ref and collapsed on the floor and started crying. Absolute embarrassment to football. And to be completely honest the most pathetic thing ive seen in 25+ years of watching football. I agree Carra should of been sent off as it was a horrific tackle - but that was nothing to do with the point i made To be quite frank Swarbs how you can stick up for that and even attempt to justify it is beyond me mate.
So a player being overly dramatic after actually being on the receiving end of a dangerous challenge that "should" of been a straight red is the most pathetic thing you have seen in 25+ years. What about all those players, including Gerrard, that actually dive to the floor and try to get players sent off when there is NO contact at all, is that not much more pathetic?
No - rolling around on the floor pretending to cry in my opinion is absolutely pathetic. My 2 year old son does that kind of stuff. Diving is common practice and is regularly seen in most leagues, although i agree it is wrong. Rolling around on the floor pretending to cry i have only seen once - Hence, why i think it's the most pathetic thing ive ever seen in football.
I do not think maradonas was anywhere near as bad, at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It wasnt the act, it was the shameless celebration, after they won, knowing that he was at fault, no shame, no honour, no morals, typical liverpool player, fits in perfect
You do realise he was actually crying, right? He was in tears when they were putting him on the stretcher, hardly pretending at that stage. Or are all players who cry (inc. Gazza, Terry, Drogba and Ronaldo) pathetic? I agree that it was pretty shameful to see him trying to get Carragher sent off, but that hardly makes him the worst in the league for it, especially given Suarez's card waving, play acting and hair pulling antics which happen on a much more regular basis.
If you ask me he was fine and then got the crocodile tears out when he collapsed in front of the ref. Ok he may not be the worst, but i can't think of a more embarrassing moment in football -can you? What else has Suarez done other than wave a fake card, and a couple of so called dives (of which people have agreed every footballer would do the same)? Clutching at straws to be honest Swarbs
Jumping and punching the ball into the net and claiming it was an act of God is ten times worse in my opinion.
Comas is clearly bitter that Suarez isn't a united player - don't worry he wont understand your logic mate.
not at all, he is not denying another team a chance of scoring on purpose England still had zero chance of winning that game, they were outclassed, shown up in the first goal maradona scored, which was possible one of the greates in world cup history
Funny you should say that. Because even though Suarez denied Ghana a late goal, they could've still won it on penalties. Had Maradona not punched the ball into the net then it may well have gone to penalties too. Which is a lottery, so England could have done it. The "Hand of God" nonsense was an insult to England, it's fans and even the football community as a whole.
England could have won it on penalties??? are you serious hahahahah Have you ever watched england play football
Yes, yes. I know England have been unlucky with Penalties in the past. The point is they didn't even get the chance to participate in a shootout because Maradona punched the ball into the net winning the game for Argentina. It's not that complicated, you know.
