Poor half - us and the ref!! We do have a 'mentality' problem and we seem to lose all self control. When we're at our best we seldom commit a foul and don't worry about what the opposition get away with. Credit to Palace. They have a game plan that we are assisting. Just hope our supposed superior fitness tells, but certainly not confident.
We're a second half away team. Need a really significant improvement. Son to come on make the difference.
I can't take 5 more games of this. Dembele's evening looks over. This is clearly a mental issue - we look nervous, tense and unsure of our own ability. I can't be bothered to single out players as the only one who has looked remotely calm is Eriksen. Davies is struggling against Zaha and offers nothing going forward - we badly miss Rose. Pathetic refereeing yet again but we should be expecting it by now. Settled into the game and dominated possession for much of the half but so little threat in the final third. I'm not sure where to go from here. This has nothing to do with formation/shape and everything to do with mental resilience. We could spend 10 hours experimenting with every formation under the sun and we'd still get nothing unless the heads are screwed on properly.
How is Redknapp saying that first one is a clear booking? Zaha fouls Wayama first. The second's a bloody dive, too. Bitter twat.
Looked more like he was giving him a last warning. Moss always seems to imagine things differently to what he sees so we need to get him off before Moss takes it out of our hands. Especially since Townsend and Zaha are going down very easily and getting the decisions. Trouble is Dembele looks like he has a knock. I'd still take Wanyama off and drop Eriksen in midfield to quicken up our passing and we need Son's clever runs up top too. If Dembele goes off we can just go 4231. Palace are sucking the pace out of the game like a spunge so we need to counteract that.
http://okstreams.com/watch/football/Crystal_Palace_-_Tottenham.htm Lots of **** ones around at the moment. That or extreme ultra-HD ones that my connection can't seem to handle.
To single out Davies v Zaha isn't the issue at all. Palace are switching both Zaha and Townsend around and they are causing problems on both flanks and inside. We are being out competed plain and simple and as a TEAM need to improve.
Spurs certainly seem very fragile atm. Most of the team has looked nervy, with Walker easily the worst offender. As a fan, I much prefer if the players run out of a good spell on their own, rather than due to changes to lineup or tactics. I think we need to swap Wanyama for Son. We need goals, Wanyama was lucky not to get sent off, and I'm not sure how much he adds when he has to play carefully. It was a little better towards the end of the half. I hope Pochettino tells the players to quit bickering with the officials. It may be justified but it's not helping, and looks like people preparing their excuses.
Surely Dembele's coming off injured. Otherwise he and Wanyama need to control themselves before a red card is issued. They have been warned by the ref. A bit disjointed from Spurs and I'm hoping Palace don't have the stamina of Spurs. They have played well but can they sustain it?
