I hope this does go through quickly, because after yesterdays result, or more importantly the way we played, if the sale doesn't go through soon and with a couple more bad results I can see Flav and Bernie sacking Warnock very quickly.

The club will look less attractive and profitable if we look like relegation fodder. They will act quicker than they normally would have to turn it around and get a "name" manager in to make us look more attractive again.

But let's not get carried away here. Ok the report has mentioned Mittal, but since Bhatia's statement when he resigned we have heard nothing positive about him wanting to buy us, in fact he was quoted as not being interested anymore. Could have been a bluff, who knows. But one thing is for sure, unless Mittal has struck a deal with Fernandes, then the sale of the club to another F1 team owner who has a lot less money than any of the other current board members, then I can't see how this sale will help us in the slightest. In fact it worries me greatly as he wont have the funds to bankroll us like we've had so far with the current board and with our losses as great as they currently are, we would be bankrupt again if we are relegated.

I want to be happy, but so far I don't see anything to be happy about, apart from not having to see the giant overgrown umper lumper and the shrunken pigmy at our games anymore.

Surely this can't be right!! Cerny said.....................

    Ok, ok I'll stop.
This does look positive imo. The Mittals fell out big time with Bernie and we all know that he isn't someone to fall out with! If the Fernandes take over happens and it's him with 60 odd % and Mittal with 30 odd % and, the Mittals come back in the game with people on the board, it can only be good news. Bernie doesn't give a **** about us and the sooner he's gone the better!!
Hope the story is true...looks as though it is.

The Asian partnership could work - Would Fernandes really buy out Ecclestone's majority if he was going to be faced with a hostile shareholder in Mittal? I doubt it.

Last season, the partnership between the Goons and the Mittals worked because Briatore was exiled to Italy so he couldn't interfere, Ecclestone trusted Paladini/Mittal judgement in bringing in NW and then (presumably) new purchases and loans were funded pro-rata to shareholdings, which was sufficient to get us up...

My one hope is that we see the end of the Goons and they don't keep any interest

And why leave it so late that it will be no time to bring in the players required unless they are on the back burner waiting for the nod, but apart from the ugly **** with the porcelain teeth and bad hair who else is there

I certainly hope it's a complete buyout. The last thing we need is 4 goons running the show. The midget and his mate need to get the f out of the club asap. Their original intentions were not to get promoted within 4 years and just sit on their fat a55e5 so something has obviously gone very very wrong.

Just for the (slightly blurred) record.

Was in the Ellerslie stand yesterday looking straight into the directors / VIP play-pen...

Could clearly see Briatore's massive orange moon face with what appeared to be Paladini sitting in his normal place in the seat in front of Briatore. The remainder of the pen housed Indian / Asian-looking men (i.e. no caucasian / Russian). In the front row alongside Paladini were two or three guys, the middle of whom looked like Amit Bhatia in shades...

Anyone sitting closer that could confirm any of this?

The way I saw it was - Briatore sitting next to Fernandes. Paladini in front of Briatore, and a whole load of Indians to his left, including I think Bhatia. Big interest by the Indians now.

There was a bloke sitting on his own top right, looking a bit hacked off, and my speculation is that this was CernyBerny (just joking!)

Radio 5 live just indicated that Briatore was smiling when he left the box early. Read into that what you will.

Will take binoculars to next match if this fiasco continues!
