Look at players like Kante, Vidal, Ozil, Kroos and Modric. All went for around 35/45m, at the peak of their powers. All undoubtedly world class. Alli has the potential to be as good as those players. Obviously he's more of a goalscorer so he's naturally worth more.

My point is that the very, very big money goes on players who can bring money back into clubs. Dele Alli can't string a sentence together and he's not a good looking lad. These are things a club looks at.

 

Depends on whether there is any kind of release mechanism buddy ... how much do you think Kante is worth now? ... we bought him for £6m and sold him for £30m ... on the face of it that is a tremendous bit of business (but I'd rather have kept him obviously) ... suspect he'd go for 3 x that right now ... just hope we factored in a "sell on" ...
