If West Ham get a knock on the door, as well, you can guarantee Allardyce is involved .... just hope we aren't.

It looks like it's the French transfers.

That would leave us with Khazri and Kone, last January. Hopefully we are okay.

I might need one of those white jackets that tie up at the back, but . . . . is there a chance that if we finish third bottom, Monty/Wandy's optimism might be justified <yikes>

. . . . and the only delusional bit is thinking about the possibility of us not finishing bottom :cheesy:

Allardyce signings? We should probably get ready for division one football.

This could actually be quite serious.

If he's been arrested it's obviously a criminal offence and not just an admin issue with the FA ..... if the club are involved it will involve other staff.

Ashley has a history of living by his own rules but he'll do well to keep out of this.

It's funny to think something might happen but in all seriousness I'd be shocked if anything did, oh and we're still useless!

HMRC aren't exactly the type of people to just go flying in without rhyme or reason, especially for something this high profile.

    Could be really quite serious.

    It brings a little 'light relief' marra . . . . that's all :emoticon-0100-smile

We'll still be swapping places, I expect, so 'normal service' will be resumed soon enough :emoticon-0105-wink:

    In the meantime . . . . <party>

This is all that we've got in the gloom that surrounds us at the moment :cheesy:

    On Sky

"180 HMRC officers have been deployed across the UK and France today.

"Investigators have searched a number of premises in the North East and South East of England and arrested the men and also seized business records, financial records, computers and mobile phones.

"The French authorities are assisting the UK investigation, have made arrests and several locations have been searched in France.

"This criminal investigation sends a clear message that, whoever you are, if you commit tax fraud you can expect to face the consequences."

Posted on our board but similar here:

    a) Innocent until proven guilty but I feel there will be something to this and I suspect this is the tip of the iceberg not just with ourselves but with much of professional football. 10 years ago Arsenal had an offshore company whose members were changed to be the players of the first team in the previous match and then all bonuses were paid as dividend to the shareholders and they paid around 5% tax on these. It was challenged and deemed legal but it was a tight call. Clubs have sailed close to the wind since the money started flooding in but the top try to put in a plausible deniability barrier which simply isn't plausible.

    b) If people avoid or evade the taxes they have an obligation to pay then I have neither time nor sympathy for them. I do not care that it is my club, if they are found to have been defrauding the tax office then they can and should have the book thrown at them.

    c) I don't think we will have a points deduction but if we do and it affects either promotion or relegation (next season) then whilst it could be a fair punishment for the club it is massively harsh on the fans.

    d) No-one likes Charnley, even if they can't prove anything lets hope he goes to jail anyway just "to be sure".

Bollocks, you lot didn't give us the luxury of innocent until proven guilty with AJ, in fact from most quarter of the Newcastle we were as bad as he was despite not having a clue yourselves if he did it or not.

To thank a mag has the Audacity to come here spouting innocent until proven guilty. **** off mate you're having a laugh aren't you? Perhaps you should save that **** for your own board. <laugh>

We should take the mag moral highground on this one shouldn't we Haslam? You tax dogding **** :p <laugh>

Like that matters to Mags, I've been called a nonce sympathizer many many time by mags who didn't have a clue of my views of it(Probably while stuffing one of those nonce pasties you're all found of down his neck).

Told you fella, we're following the Mag Rule book here, doesn't matter if you did or not it's Tar everyone with the same brush time. You're a tax dodger. :emoticon-0172-mooni

I'm joking off course, but as If you lot went on like that with AJ. Seriously, you'll deserve it if you get it back. ;)

Small minded club hopefully caught with it hand in the till. <whistle>:p:emoticon-0143-smirk
