    Could be a coincidence. You can overdo fruit though, especially if drinking juices. Fructose can reduce your body's ability to break down uric acid.

    I find it funny, cherries and pineapples are supposed to be about the best things you can have to beat gout and both contain fructose.

    They're also my two favourite fruit so I don't mind over indulging on them and calling it "medicine".

    According to my research cherries only cause gout when eaten directly out of an ewe's anus.

    That's because of the lack of alcohol in it. I've never had a headache after squash which is a similar situation.
