**** me, Roofie! Talk about kick a man when he's already taking a kicking! Don't worry about me, brother. I've got this one covered.
Ran a ten miler , finished 58th out of 650 once , smoked a big fatty before the start and didn't think I would make it a mile after 500 yards ... but the fear of embarrassment drove me to success
I was a fukin mess at the end , my wife wanted me to go get checked out at the hospital and all I wanted to do is not get up from the ground . Haven't ran since , won't run again . I won the bet with my friend though . I have proof , but I have no need to .
The general conception is that the San Francisco marathon is one of the toughest because those who've run it have said that it is because of the elevation gain. Not because they've seen the hills on the TV They call it 'the race all marathoners fear' and it's listed as one of the toughest and most challenging marathons in the world. https://www.wsj.com/articles/SB10001424052748703283004575363214110587160 But of course the year you ran it they ironed out all of the hills and made it flat. Despite the fact that the whole city is built on a number of hills.
Oh, ffs! Go and check it out! I haven't, but it'll be there, somewhere on the web. Speaking as someone who has run both marathons, to some ****wit who has run neither, I am telling you, categorically, that the IOW Marathon is harder than the San Fran Marathon.
So the 99.9% of people who run the San Francisco marathon know it as the 'Race that all marathoners fear', but for you it's 'a breeze' because the year you ran it they moved it away from all the hills
99% of the people who have ever run the San Fran Marathon will not have run the IOW Marathon, so they will not be able to compare. You, who have run neither, certainly are in no position to talk about the relative merits of either, so button it!
Do you have some evidence to back that up ? A lot of marathon runners travel the world running various marathons. Also can you prove that I have run neither ? So far there's a much proof on here that you've run them as there is that I have
How many enter the San Fran Marathon each year? 15k to 25k How many enter the IOW Marathon each year? 100 to 200. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to do the maths, desperado-boy. There is a reason why people would rather run the San Fran Marathon than the IOW Marathon. Indeed, there is a reason why so very few choose to run the IOW Marathon. No way would someone like you be able to complete the San Fran Marathon, let alone the IOW Marathon.
