Newcastle lost yesterday, just as they were on a winning run and were starting to get cocky. Some of them even booed at the end. We went on a couple of long winning runs last season, started to get cocky and thought we'd walk the league, then duly got brought back down to earth with a bang with a defeat at a Rotherham or a Leeds. Villa haven't started too great, not losing games but can't buy a win at the moment. Derby actually scored a goal today. Very interesting Championship this season, I don't think any one team will end up pissing it.

Never expected to see Huddersfield at the top either. Certainly a tight and interesting league this year and it'll be interesting to see at Christmas how much change there is with the current table.
This is what this Newcastle fan thinks of the championship now - God I hope we beat them in the cup. The thought of geordie's getting their hands on a cup makes me cringe more than the thought of the scousers finally winning the league.

Great early season comments by some on here. Congratulations to Mr Benitez - promotion from the championship is not easy. Looking forward to matches against Newcastle next season.
